Well he has almost double the feedback for purchases than he does sales...indication of a flipper.

No returns allowed? I never like to see that either.

He has feedback showing that he has done this type of thing before...

Not to mention half a dozen other negative feedbacks from various users stating that he was difficult to deal with and guilty of over-grading or hiding defects.

@BSeldin305 Did you get your money back? eBay is full of scum and villainy.

Oh man... let’s add em to the list!
So far we got:
- just-they-keys-please
- badazbowaz
- cornfieldcomics-and-bricks

Any other terrible EBay sellers we want to add to the list of vendors to avoid? I’m totally cool with being the list keeper. The only way these vendors stop their BS is if people keep calling them out when they see them posting.

https://forum.cbcscomics.com/topic/7857/page/1/ebay-sellersbusted-again/#17

...and these three bozos I busted for fraud:
krakow1
fgd2868
rodney-memorbilia

...in this thread:
https://forum.cbcscomics.com/topic/5303/page/1/buyers-be-warned-ebay-sellers---part-2/#24

Also:
Brunsfam
ducatidesmod16rr

Whom I busted here:

There is a great deal more, but that's just a starter list on top of what you've already got.

Can't remember who it was but I think @comic_book_man busted him.
Guy would always hold his books bare hand - just looked odd... and I think he refused to take a photo inside the cover to prove no color touch only to later re-list as with color touch.
I forgot his name but when I saw a different book and the same way he handled them for the photos I knew to stay away!!

- krakow1
- fgd2868
- rodney-memorbilia

- ducatidesmod16rr
- smilelp

Any others we need to add? I will keep updating the list as folks uncover the frauds out there.

It’d be good to keep his list going and live/up-to-date.

But also, the risks of buying old expensive keys off eBay doesn’t seem worth the risks to me versus buying a comic which has been examined for restoration by cgc/cbcs. Some are willing to take more risks than others. But you really need to know what your doing (expert as spotting restoration) and be willing to go to battle stations when the deal comes up sour.

If we are keeping a list I would suggest that we also keep the reasons why sellers have ended up in the list. Otherwise that knowledge will be lost over time

Perhaps we could post names with what they did stickied on top?

Although I frequent the boards, I sometimes miss the new additions. If it were stickied on top, a quick scan before we commit to buy might be helpful....

Because it is past 90 days, there is no recourse through eBay other than a follow up comment on feedback.

I have opened a dispute with Paypal- we'll see what happens.

This guy is something else....is he seriously asking why the trimmed edges arent straight? Is this supposed to suggest that because they're not straight it must mean it's not trimmed? Douche is too kind a word for him.

The absolute best line (as in most ridiculous) is he is not a trained expert and only trained experts can tell if it's trimmed; therefore to his untrained eye his listing was accurate.
What a buffoon. Why even answer if that's the answer you're going to provide.
Wow.

The last two ASM #5 3.0 Restored sold for an average of $150 graded over the last year. If you still want the comic you should ask for a refund of $150 (the difference between the cost and value) plus your cost of grading fees, any pressing fees and the cost to ship to and from CGC. Asking for only $100 back means the seller is still profiting off the sale even though he may have committed fraud.

I had a eBay coupon so I paid $280.

A 1.8 Universal recently sold for $280.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Amazing-Spider-Man-5-CGC-Graded-Comic-1-8-1st-Dr-Doom-Outside-F-F-1963/123639343718?hash=item1cc97aaa66:g:GVwAAOSwvmxcYGcr

I think $100 would be fair.

But I appreciate all the responses/input from the community!

Bumping this back up to the top should anyone have any new sellers to add to the list. Interestingly enough Just-the-keys-please hasn't posted any listings for some time now. Wonder if they got a lot of blowback and created a new selling account. They sell out of London, Ontario.

UPDATE

Paypal denied my request for a $100 refund.

"We have received a response from the merchant and we've also reviewed all the details of your case. Based on the merchant’s response and the information we have to date, we have to deny your case. This decision was made because we have found no evidence that the item was misrepresented."

I have appealed.

CAVEAT EMPTOR!

If you paid with credit card just do a charge back claim which is why if you pay for high value items or sellers you are not comfortable with you pay PayPal with credit card instead of using PayPal balance.

In that case you have the options of both eBay, PayPal and credit card issuer if something goes wrong.

Keep appealing until they give you your money back. I went through the same thing with my “bad EBay” seller experience. I had to call those fools and sending them pictures for over two weeks straight to get them tired of hearing from me, and issue my refund. My refund was for a lot more than $100 dollars but I tell you this. PayPal doesn’t want to give a single refund if they don’t have to, so they are going to deny you and hope you go away. Keep hammering away at them until they give you the refund you deserve. The sad part is after you get your refund, I don’t think they hold the seller responsible at all. I think the refund comes straight from PayPal, hence their reluctant to give it in the first place.
