As long as it isn't one of those overpriced trendy UK beers that you post about on the Facebook.

I was way too late to the game to be from the start of the collector society boards, but here...I was waiting for them to go live so I could be a day one member.

I just want to share what I have spent a lifetime accumulating, and learn something now and then.

I do want to share something right now that is not comic book related, althongh it is magazine related.

What I want to share is my new old car. It is my current "baby".

This car was one of ten made in 1966. And by that I mean, there were only ten made in the Plymouth factory in California in 1966 that came from the factory in Playmate Pink.

I am sure that few, if any, of you know that starting in 1964, Hugh Hefner of Playboy Magazine gave a new pink car to the Playmate of the Year. I think he still does that. I know that he deviated once or twice over the years. One year he gave a POTY a boat, and another time I think he gave a car that was not pink. But almost always they were pink cars. I think mine was the only Plymouth he ever gave to a POTY. There is a list on the internet, with pictures, of all the pink cars over the years. This one is there. I also have a signed picture of Lisa Baker with this car.

Anyway, I now own the car Playboy gave to the 1967 Playmate of the Year, Lisa Baker. But they gave her a 1966 Plymouth Barracuda instead of a 67' car. That is now my "baby". It has a 318 V8, with auto transmission and power steering. It looks cherry (totally redone but painted in the original factory pink just as Hugh Hefner special ordered it). I sold my 56' Dodge Coronet to purchase this vehicle. I am looking forward to taking it to some Classic Car Rally's this summer. It has the original radio in it, but alas, it does not work. So I am going to have a new CD player mounted in the glove box, out of sight. It has the biggest piece of glass ever put on a passenger car (so I am told). The back seats fold down and that makes 7 feet of area in the back. Two people could "sleep" (or whatever) in that area.

Extremely cool, one-of-a-kind car. Hope you enjoy it (plus I love old Mopars!)

I find it interesting that so far here on the CBCS forum. The signature ASP thread seems to be the most active. Other than this welcome thread.

I would have never thought that. Although I admit. I don't have a clue what "ASP" stands for. "Autograph Signature Potentials"?

That's because CBCS screwed up the link, it wasn't your fault.

So, it looks like the vote counts will take the place of post counts.

That might make it tougher to become a "somebody special" here.

(Just joking around)

Sweet car and a favorite for me. Around 1968 I bought a 1964 'cuda. It had a 273, 4 speed manual in Burgundy Red. I tricked it out for the street band it was a blast!
