Stolen Collection DavidsObjects 29 4 monthsDavidsObjects (36): I appreciate everyone's comments on insurance. It was something I always wanted, always knew I needed, and even tried a few times to research and purchase, but never pulled the trigger on. The policies were too annoying to read through and compare. I'd set aside the weekend after I moved everything into storage as when I would officially purchase it. If only they'd waited a few more days to ransack the place. Gahh.. so frustratinmg :(
My Comic Book Youtube Channel - The Comic Book Veteran - links within PDGray 25 6 monthsPDGray (620): Anyone else watched any of my vids yet? I have the Curator done and really ready to upload, but haven't had time to get it posted just yet. Haven't done another video, but I am still going to play with the microphone and lighting settings - just gotta find time to do that. Full-time job and teaching college and wife and kids and too MANY other things going on!! Anyway, I always welcome any other feedback on things I should do differently or...
Uncanny X-men 266 Buzbe 6 10 monthsMutantMania (5622): I'd pick one up soon if you haven't already. There's supposed to be a cameo of Gambit in the new Deadpool movie. That might make the book shoot up in price a bit.

Introducing the Larry Hama File Copy Collection vacomicon 4 3 yearsvacomicon (190): I'm super excited about all of the JOE single issues that are being worked on by CBCS. Since Larry had all of the ultra-rare out-of-print Joe Trades (who knows how tiny some of those print runs are) I partnered with MCS to to satisfy fans in the meantime. Thanks for checking them out!

Thoughts on the new “Chinatown” pedigree. CatmanAmerica 16 4 yearsCatmanAmerica (30017): There's also Mile High ( Edgar Church) which is a separate pedigree from the Denver pedigree. Two different collections coming from the same city can have different designations. I'm just suggesting that a reasonable argument could be made for third party grading companies reconsidering designations based on cultural sensitivity. Revising a pedigree should not be a big deal. .
2020 Vision: Collecting through a past and future lens. CatmanAmerica Jump to first page81Jump to last page 4 yearsDarkseid_of_town (14297): Hard to even imagine the marvel universe today without TTA 27 was intended as a horror story that then became a hero story secondarily. Ten cent cover, and truly one of the first marvel hero books before there were marvel hero books. November of 1961 saw the release of Fantastic four 1, and TTA 27 would follow almost immediately in January of 1962. As the character was retooled from being a horror type story into a more hero type...

TOM REILLY PEDIGREE a bit of proper history BLBcomics Jump to first page32Jump to last page 7 yearsOrbitCityComics (1483): It actually has to do with the way people pronounced the word detective. In the time Batman debuted the US was filled with newly arrived immigrants. They would struggle with DEtective, and shorthand it to DAtective, or just tective. How TEC27 was thought up COULD very well be based on this.

Giant Size X-Men #1, FF #48, 1st Vision X-men, All the Wolverine and Punisher miniseries, Vegeance of Bane, Killing Joke, just about a little bit of everything. Being taught to grade comics. jwalker0094 17 8 yearsResurrection (661): There are two types of people who grade comics. Those who can, and those who can't. The ones who can wanted to learn and spent time learning. My best suggestion is attend conventions, talk to reputable dealers, and of course send books to be graded. Write down your estimated grade, and defects you spot to determine your grade and compare to what grade you get and graders notes. CGC and CBCS grading is the industry standard now, so I suggest...
