Hello all, I just submitted my first 4 comics ever for grading near the end of April, to the Canadian submission address. Using the tracking information I saw that they were delivered in early May (about a week or week and a half in). My order status still shows as "Submitted" and hasn't changed from that since before I sent them. I am nervous as it has been well over a month without the status changing.

How long does it take to show as received? Should I be worried? I emailed CBCS already a few times. The first time they asked me if I had sent them to the Canadian submission address and I responded yes, then asked them have they been received? I have not received a response to that email for 12 days now. Sent them another email 2 days ago, also no response to that either....

Funny, I recently started a thread about a New Member drive. I guess I failed to realize it was already happening. Delays in the receiving department seem to be an effective way of driving people to the forum.

It's no big deal, really. It's not like we have to move the Picasso in order to make room for the thread.

Donโ€™t panic ! Oh and congratulations on your first submission you will not be disappointed when you get your books back.
It does take some time to change status but rest assured If your carrier has confirmed delivery your books will be safe and in the system.
Good luck be patient and try to relax ๐Ÿ˜….

@Comicninja0215 @Ironwill75 Thank you very much. I'm very excited to see what they come back as. I have had these comics since I bought them as a teenager. The 4 I sent in were:
-Spiderman #1 [1990]Green cover, in the original poly bag, newsstand edition, never opened.
-The Amazing Spider Man #361 [1992]
-The Amazing Spider Man #362 [1992]
-Star Trek #1 [1967] (Gift from my dad for high school graduation)

If these come back good I may send in at least 3 more eventually:
-Strangers #1 [1993] Malibu, Ashcan Edition (Steve Englehart Autograph)
Got this at a comic con in Edmonton, AB when I was in high school early/mid 90's.

-The Maxx 1/2 [1993]
Still in original packaging and envelope from Wizard, never opened, should grade high I hope.

-Spawn #1 (1992)

No problem lots of friendly people on here๐Ÿ˜Ž.
A nice few comics to start off with there unfortunately itโ€™s very addictive once you start ๐Ÿคฃ.
Youโ€™ll have to post them on here when you get them back and let us have a look I hope they do well for you ๐Ÿ‘

For the books you sent, did you select pressing? With the ones that are sealed in poly, they are likely to have a crease from that old polysealed bag they were in that will detract from their grades

@Darkseid_of_town Thank you that's a good idea. I hadn't requested pressing for the Spiderman issue, only the Star Trek one, but I have sent an email now asking if it can be added. Hopefully they will at least respond to this email as it would end up earning them more money.

Change orders after submission are a nightmare for companies. Someone has to drop everything they are working on and spend a decent amount of time trying to properly communicate the change to multiple departments. They create liability...opportunities for mistakes, misunderstanding and miscommunication. They often end up in the "no good deed goes unpunished" category. I personally would never take on a change order on a submission of this size. If they do it for you, you should consider it a big favor and be grateful...the extra pressing charge is nowhere near the proper compensation for the amount of work required.
