Who’s got the runs?18955
Have I told you about the time I dropped off 3,000 comics at SDCC? | Scifinator private msg quote post Address this user
. Now that I got your attention, I thought I’d start this thread in hopes of many/most of us posting our runs…of the comic nature…. Be it esoteric, large, or small, complete or major arc, event, etc. Please share your runs. Maybe some day we will be graced by a CBCS registry. In the meantime, I will get things rolling with something esoteric Unfortunately, Tekno / Big Entertainment came in right before the big mid-nineties comic implosion. I enjoyed their titles and especially that they did not partake in the gimmickry like multiple covers which really turned me off as a collector. Below is my complete run on the title Neil Gaimans Tecknophage. Unfortunately, a few months ago I had to chose to pull it from my permanent collect and the issues are now housed for sale at MCS. |

well i guess mines would be AVENGERS 7,9,10,12-402, plus all annuals and giant size. my second group would be uncanny X-MEN but has alot of gaps 99-544( gave my x-men giant size 94,95 to school friend to hold while in the army and lost contact with him to get back)

For me, 2 complete Defenders runs, 2 Savage Sword of Conan, 3 Conan the Barbarian, what if vol 1&2, 2 New Mutants, Creepy, and Marvel Team-Up. Almost have complete runs of a lot of DC and Marvel Horror, just missing a few issues here and there. I believe those are all my bigger full runs.

Did you ever read "Sable?" I have almost (may be complete, actually) the full run of the original run. |

@dfoster43 yeah, I wish they had more value as well. The Warlord covers always caught my eye and could pick them up in the .50 cent boxes at Cons a lot of times. I have never read “Sable” I will have to check it out.

I keep runs only if they are not worth bothering to sell, so a run of Amethyst, Irredeemable (a great read) Elvira’s House of Mystery, Eternal’s (Kirby), Doorway to Nightmare, Dell Turok run, Savage She-Hulk 1-25, Savage Sword of Conan 1-100, Lancer Conan paperback run, Judomaster (Charlton) E-Man, ROM. Warlord. You get the idea, got them all out of collections of better stuff. Too cool to sell for as cheap as they go. I am not a completist so I never try for runs on my own. |

@doog I have high hopes for ROM. As long a I get #1 before it jumps in value. ROM is an excellent candidate for the “retro” style TV that has been well doing well. Stranger Things is the best example. It would have been good in any time frame, but the extent taken to create an 80s world paid off and it was/is fun. The 80s vibe is in for toys, the retro style has always done well and I would buy ROM figures without question.

How do I know this? Because I've done it myself. | lawguy1977 private msg quote post Address this user
I'm never going to have the complete run, but I've got Batman 400-713 of volume 1 and then all of volume 2 and 3 up to the present. I've got most of the issues in the 300s but have been trying to complete the 200s first. I've also got Detective Comics 600-881 with most of the 500s and a good chunk of the 400s. My other favorite run is X-Men 127 to 283. I'm just missing #266 but will probably snag a copy at some point this year.

Secret Weapons 1-10 before it took a strange turn into an entirely new story and the rest of our heroes continued in their own series’s and convoluted multi crossover valiant universe! You thought our heroes were the “Secret Weapons”? No! Its the special armor they were after that is later conveniently reverse engineered to create a team of “Secret Weapons”! |
