Will probably crack this out and have CBCS slab it to see what they think. Personally, I think CGC under graded the book. Which was great for me buying it, but still I think it presents better than a 5.0.

This is pretty rare. About magazine size in dimension. thin paper. I have two of these from 1939. each has a different store advertisement. I guess you could get them printed up by Disney with your store name in white box area. Don't know if any others are in really nice condition.

Here is what I found online.
Presented is this 1939 Department Store Christmas Promotional Comic Giveaway themed on Pinocchio. This book has numerous pictures that were made using posed pieces of Animation Plaster Models used by animators as they drew characters for Pinocchio. T is also a Mickey Sieberling Rubber piece in the last Christmas Tree Picture. The figures were posed againstsome specially prepared Studio Art Backgrounds made for this promotion.

Most definitely presents nicer than a 5.0 but I would invest in the grader's notes (if you haven't already) before resubmitting - there may be an issue(s) on the inside that warrants a 5.0.

I have a tec #111 that myself and 2 others graded 4.5 and it came back from CGC a 6.0, and your Bats #9 looks nicer.

I totally agree. I have a 4.0 that is not even close to your copy.

The grades notes on my Batman 9 are:

*Spine stress lines
*Staple multiple rusted with rust stained spine
*Staple small multiple tear
*Top staple rusted with rust stained interior

Pretty sure the staple rust gave it a hit but I've seen CGC books with worse staples grade much higher.
