Hi everybody! I'm new! Well I'm not so much a newbie as a defector from those who shall not be named, but I do have a couple of newbie like questions. I splurged for the silver membership as I have a few stacks of horror-esque and sword and sorcery books that I want to get slabbed. Which, along with some severe drop in QC, is the main reason why I switched as the other guys enormous white box in the corner REALLY detracts from the horror vibes and great artwork. But I digress. My questions are: 1. The eCoupons that come with the membership, do I just write on the invoice that I want to use them? Or do I get some kind of email? I've tried reaching out to CBCS with no response in the last... maybe 2 weeks. And I've combed through the forums but I can't find an answer. 2. The slab only option, is that like I get the book encapsulated with the key notes but no grade? There are a few books that would be cool to just display in my comic cave but I'm unsure about the exact details of the option. Thanks in advance. |

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. | xkonk private msg quote post Address this user

If CBCS runs a discount in the future (like 10% off with code COMICSRULE) you can sometimes put that code in on the website when you create your order, but even then I write the code on the invoice too. When in doubt, write on the invoice. Quote: Originally Posted by Dared_Evil I believe that's correct, if by 'notes' you mean the label. The price includes verification for one signature. Unless something has changed recently then it cannot be used for witnessed signatures or unsigned books. |

@xkonk right on. Thanks for the information and quick reply. Already leaps and bounds better than the other forum 🤣 @dielinfinite the slab only question wasn't for signature books, so I guess that's out haha but that makes sense why they would offer the option. Although I have a few of those I was holding onto for a future submit. I might have to rethink which one of these stacks goes first. |

Hello, I posted in here about a month or so ago about a sketch cover I am having done. The srtist has started the work on my commission. When I check out with CBCS, what exactly do I select as there isn't an original art selection. I am going to send the artist the original art form, my submission forms, and have him scan his ID? Is there anything else remaining to do? Is there an order of events I should do this in? Like send the original art form to the artist, then pay CBCS? Thanks for your help! |

@BrenoMp If it’s a sketch cover you fill out the comic book/variant information as normal. You then add “Authentic Signature” with the artist’s name and the date completed. If you do not want the book graded and just want it slabbed with the word “Art” then select “Original Art” on the Grading Tier If you do want it graded select any other option, typically “Modern” Complete the checkout. The Artist will have to include a copy of the invoice as well as complete and sign the CBCS Signature Opp form with the book when he mails the book directly to CBCS. CBCS will bill you automatically when the book is entered into the system |

@dielinfinite thank you! Im in contact with the artist to get the commission sent to CBCS. Do you happen to know the turnaround time for original art?

No idea. I would assume it’s the same as modern so if it comes back earlier it’s a nice surprise

@dielinfinite The artist completed the steps mentioned. The comic has been delivered to CBCS. What exactly happens now? My dashboard still says submitted.

@BrenoMp You might want to read up on the Turnaround time thread. You are in for a wait

Hello! I'm new to CBCS membership and couldn't find if the e-coupons are actually sent to you. I read earlier in the thread about just writing it on the invoice. I guess my question is, are the e-coupons lost if you don't remember you got them in the first place?

@Offpanel I don’t believe the membership coupons carry over if you don’t use them before the end of your membership year. I’m not sure if that addresses your concern

@dielinfinite thanks. That does answer my main question. Now Im wondering where so you get the coupon codes? if there are any.

@Offpanel There are no actual codes. When you print your invoice to mail in with your books, write the coupons you want to use on it.

There’s no set schedule. Just sometime after the Grader’s Notes are made available

@Offpanel I am not familiar with the abbreviation. It is possible it is a typo of some sort. I would make a new thread and see if the greater forum has an idea |

Hopefully this is the correct page for my question. Can the current CBCS slab fit the old DC prestige format comics or an 80 page giant? For example the 1989 Batman movie adaptation. I love that book and would love it inside a CBCS case. Just wanted an idea of the limits of the current slab. Thanks |

Always a helpful group in this forum. I remember going to the theater opening night(old as dirt/young at heart) for Batman and there was a make shift gift shop set up in the lobby full of Batman merch. I just had to have that book and 5 bucks was a high price for a kid. I paid gladly and still have it. Probably not a 9.9 much less a 9.8 but it should still do well. CBCS cases make books look good regardless of value or grade. I'm happy to hear they can accommodate this format. Again thanks
