But it is so worth it.

This is my comic book room, and desk. Took a long time to paint this on...

That is amazing. At first glance, it has that busy Jack Kirby feel to it.

This is my comic room, my collection pales in comparison to some of the others...this is what has been branded "The Nerd Cave" in our house...it's where I read comics, study and play guitar and house my collection of comic and pop culture stuff.... (excuse the quality of the photos my panorama on my cell isn't that great).

All of you have done fantastic work. I have goals for when I move; one of the bedrooms is being converted into a comic/media room.

Thanks @BrianGreensnips, I'm envious of your collection. You've got a lot of books there. I'm still kinda new getting back into collecting. Lots of great rooms and collections.on this thread!

Caught Penn and Teller in Vegas earlier this year...they pose for photos and sign autographs after every single show...so I got some sigs after the show. Printed the 8x10 before we left, because you have to bring your own...very cool guys. Teller is very prim and proper when he speaks which kinda took me back a bit at first.

Maiden flag I've had since I was 15...

I eventually want to re design the finished part of the basement for my collection and have a desk area down there for rebagging and boarding. Right now the books are in the storage area of the basement where it is not very inviting. I also have a dehumidifier that I run year round by the collection. Thanks for the comments, that is over 35 years of collecting and my goal is to not get much bigger but to continue to get better books. I love reading the new books and have a pull list at my LCS. However I really like to collect bronze and silver age books. Someday, I would like to have the collection be all golden, silver and bronze age books. That will be a good purging process to sell the modern books. Then I can use that money on more older books. It is all fun though.

That's a big wall, how deep is that?

Are those also copies or real comics in the front? That's a lot of books

The Wall is over 8 feet long. The depth is just over 30 inches to accommodate the 28 inch long comic drawer boxes, plus 2 inches of foam board insulation and the ceder wood lining.

The Books on the door fronts are color photo copies, Not the real books

I figure I have close to 8,000 plus books.

Now...... If Only I had something cool on the wall to the left.........
Maybe something with some Bi-Planes.......Hmmmmm I wonder.......

Here are a few pics of the construction:

@BigRedOne1944 thanks for posting up these construction pics!

What did you do to support the hinges for the drawers?
This looks incredible

You installed the drawers first and then the mounts in between the shelves?
