Ebay Sniping Tools5917

@drchaos that's what I use. It's pretty easy to use and best of all it's free.

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
So far my first three bids were submitted successfully.

I was outbid and lost the items because my bids were not high enough, the software is not to blame this time.

Myibidder is my new sniping tool until it lets me down!

10 for 10 of my bids went through and I won two auctions.

5 thumbs up for Myibidder!

I've used sniping tools in the past. I did provide my eBay username and password and didn't have an issue. The only time it came in handy were for those bids late at night when I didn't want to stay up to manually do it. You still have to be cautious and most will tell you that if you go below a certain amount of seconds that internet latency could bite you in the a$$. I just do it manually and know my pc/internet with 15 seconds left will put me in under 5 seconds.... If I really want something off hours I'll bid my max before bedtime and let it roll.

Given warns you that if you place a snipe bid within 2 minutes of the ending time of an auction, your snipe *may* not go through. This is true of all sniping services.

Easy solution to that is don't place your snipe bid in the last 2 minutes of an auction.

When I see an auction on ebay, I simply log onto Given and place my snipe bid.

If you somehow miraculously happen to stumble on a lot on ebay that has 2 minutes left in which to bid....just wait intil the final 5-8 seconds...and than hit confirm bid, I have done this before.

But sometimes, eBay logs you out of your account for inactivity or whatever reason.

Solution to that is to hit refresh on your browser at the 1 minute mark to check to see if you're still logged in.

I will copy/paste the eBay ID # or the eBay auction browser URL if I'm at home and not on the mobile app , in case eBay logs me out, so I don't have get shut out of my account before I have time to log back in.

I hit "confirm bid" in those RARE situations....at the 6 to 8 second mark.

Given places bids within the last 5 seconds of an an auction IIRC.

Given also has a "mirror" backup bidding system in place...which the free sniping sites do not.

For an annual cost of $7.95 , Given is what I'd suggest using.

If software is 100% free, there is a reason for that.

My question to those who suggest 100% free sniper service over a sniper that charges a lousy 8 bucks for 12 months is....why not just cough up the $8 and greatly lessen the odds of software that does not empty a second "mirror" service, in the event of some kind of power surge or malfunction of the free sniper service or Gixen man's main (not mirrored) snipe bid.

Gixen mirrored bid IIRC is placed if there is a server/power outage in Gixen physical main area/state.

The mirrored bid, would be placed from another server, in another area of the U.S....like from the rust belt ,opposed to the south, or wherever.

I snipe my bids to win books as cheaply as I can get them.

With inferior (free) sniping software, you are taking a chance that is not justifiable over a lousy eight effing bucks a year.

No worries. We can get back on topic.

That is pretty poor form, on your part.

I pointed out that you incorrectly called me out for something that I did not do...and instead of going back and looking at the actual posts as I suggested.....you choose to not admit that you were wrong and simply apologize for sighting my character, by stating factually incorrect information.

What this post of yours is called is deflection.

No hard feelings on my end, I simply want you to stick to the facts.

Is that too much to ask?

The “slip” was you saying he sighted your character as opposed to slighted. I found that amusing. The rest I frankly don’t care about.

But a bid of $399.99 is shilltastic.

Btw, KM and his spike bidding idea still makes no sense to me, at all.

Looked like all legit bids to me. All bidders had a decent amount of feedback.

You could not be more wrong.

Pull up GPA on that book.

That ragged fair/good raw copy sold for above the GPA average on CGC SLABBED UNIVERSAL 3.5.

Just because under bidders have high feedback does not mean a sale is not shilled.

On eBay, that is the norm. Post 55 • IP

Read post #37 thru #42.

It starts with a qouted reply from KaptainMyke, qouted by Drogio and read Drogio response in post #37.

Than read thru post #42.

What you are missing is readily apparent if you read those posts and do not ignore everything that was said.

I am done with this.

Take the olive branch, guys. I believe the op has gotten plenty of good suggestions and can now narrow down his search for the right tools to use. The other "tit-for-tat" was slightly (very slightly) amusing till about page three and a half. I've learned a lot from every vet involved in this thread and surely have notes copied from each. In every field you have a wide range of personalities some of whom will not like each other. Fine, for example in sports players that despise each other can come together, make it work, and win championships.

Does this mean everybody needs to hold hands and become 'lovey dovey kiss kiss'? NO No no! A good spirited debate can sometimes elict and generate great new info and ideas.

Who cares what the history of all this back N forth is.? Not I, nor others here to learn or share. This thread died long ago... let it drift and fade away.....
