Look at the other items, that's not even the worst example. Someone teach that girl how to hold a comic book!

Not sure if it matters much since that book is not rare and it also means it'll now be more affordable for collectors/flippers.

It's the principle sir! Helpless books being contorted to avoid a glare, it's just wrong is all, no matter the book lol.

She's probably selling off her ex's collection...one by one destroying them. I am tempted to order Something to see what her approach to shipping is.

She had to have come into this collection from someone else, inheritance, garage sale find, and thought they'd be easy sales, while knowing nothing about handling and grading. And I don't see any bags anywhere, you can see the comics stacked up to the side in each picture.

You know, we are totally jumping to conclusions here. How do we know this is a she? Could be a guy that likes a good French manicure And has a thing for long nails. And whose eBay user id is a Winnie the Pooh character.

Trendsetter, or "go home ebay you're drunk"? 🤣

Just stumbled across this little gem. Apparently he has graded it as a 44.75!! There are some others in there as well (Action 252 graded 73.00)

@shrewbeer I'm more impressed with the "special protective shell" that is "sealed with security tape."

CBCS and CGC had better watch out, there's some real competition now!

Yep, well CBCS had to get their raw grade sticker idea from somewhere lol 🤔

He didnt just go to a 1-100 scale, but he added TWO decimal points 😳

9,999 grades anyone?

Collector jrs private msg quote post Address this user
Well, a 99.99 must be better than a 9.9....'cause that's how numbers work. Or at least that's what that seller seems to think.

Comic Connect ticks me off with some of there listings for raw books. For example, they have an ASM #20 in VG++/4.75. What does that mean? If it's between a 4.5 and a 5.0, play it safe and say 4.5. All I can think of is the movie "Christmas Story" where the kid dreams he gets an A++ on his paper about the air rifle he wants for Christmas.

I'm not sure if anyone realizes but before the 10 Pt. system, Overstreet had a 100 PT. system. A grade of 35.0 to 54.0 was considered VG. A page quality was based on a 1-10 scale using the OWL (Overstreet's Whiteness Level) Card. A 7 in PQ would be considered tan since the range is from 5-7.

COLLECTOR DarthLego private msg quote post Address this user
Yep, that was graded using the ancient Overstreet system. The seller is probably an older cuss who defiantly decided he would not change with times.

I actually wouldnt mind a 100 pt system. But add two decimals on top of each 1-100? Nope, thats just getting overkill sick. 🤢

@bige31 that exact book has been the subject of two or three threads this year. There are only 12 known copies of the second print newsstand to have surfaced.
