NYCC Orders - Turnaround Time?21365

Collector Jecepii private msg quote post Address this user
Not sure if this is a good spot to ask but has anyone gotten an update on their NYCC 2024 order. I got an update about 3 business days after NYCC that 2/4 books went into pressing, I only requested 2 to be pressed so that's fine and then nothing after. I know the TAT is 20 days + tier but I'm just wondering if anyone got an update if they also got pressing or without etc. Just trying to gauge when to expect them back. I also got two authentic signatures and two verified in the order if that matters into TAT.

@Jecepii First off. Welcome to the forum!

I dropped off several books at NYCC. None of them were to be pressed. One had to have a signature verified. One I dropped off for the Snyder signing. The rest were witnessed. I received notification that they received my books on November 20th. That's over a month after the show. I haven't had any updates since.

Customer service has no idea why. They tried to say it was Matt's fault. "Sometimes it takes Matt a while to get all of his order packed up and shipped. If he goes to multiple shows in back-to-back weeks sometimes, he would hold on to the orders and send them all in bulk. It's possible that this was the case." I guess it's easy to blame it on the guy they let go.

One thing I will add, most of the time my submissions are within the advertised turnaround times.

Thank you for the welcome! That's a wide net of separate services so maybe that's why but this is my first submission with CBCS so I'm not too sure. I'm not sure if I should also reach out to Customer Service to get an update, I'm still in the middle of the TAT window. The received notification for you was much further out than my order, I was surprised when I saw it as received and then into pressing a day or two after the week after the con. Hopefully, your order moves soon. How would I contact CBCS customer service, is it only email? I'm switching from CGC and I would usually call and poke to get a direct answer or a gauge on the time left.

Yes, welcome to the forums.

You can also ask questions like this in this thread:

I will say that CBCS has a superior product, generally faster than advertised turnaround times, and terrible customer service.

@Jecepii I usually email them. Their customer service was horrible in the past. They have gotten a lot better. It took them less than 2 hours to answer my email. If you need a quicker response, try the phone. I haven't tried calling them in years. Of course I rarely need to. Unlike CGC their quality control doesn't suck, so people don't have to send their books back for bananas and other screw-ups.

I contacted them this time because they added a fee to my NYCC submission and I wanted to know why.

Welcome to the forum! The community here has a wealth of knowledge and can truly be a pleasure to interact with.

The signature verification phase also adds 30 business days to the turnaround.

Here would be your breakdown for the services you mentioned (for standard tier):
Signature Verification: 30 Business Days
Pressing: 20 Business Days
Grading: 30 Business Days

If you'd like, you can message me your order # directly and I will get you a quick status update!
