One thing that strikes me is the different approach to the colour palette. US comics tend to focus on brighter colours, even in horror comics, but these books have a more subdued palette that uses a great deal of green in an olive shade or thereabouts. The difference in colouration really lends to a more effective atmosphere of tension and suspense, IMHO.

It would be great to get these covers archived in the Grand Comics Database. I'm sure Komic-Kazi if you gave them permission they would download your wealth of awesome covers for documenting these important works in comic history... The difficult part is filling out the author/artist credit information, but I'm guessing you might have a great list for that too. https://www.comics.org/ Thanks again sooo much for sharing! Big eye opener for all of us TO Crypt/Creepshow/Eerie/Creeps/Creepy junkies here in the US! Wow! Outstanding...! |

I think it would be great to document those books! They're too good not to share. It would also help raise awareness for original comics from non-English speaking countries.

Our family spends well over two hours a day sharing materials, that is why we have over 18 Million views just on Flickr alone. I am sure with IG and FB its triple that total. |
