One thing that strikes me is the different approach to the colour palette. US comics tend to focus on brighter colours, even in horror comics, but these books have a more subdued palette that uses a great deal of green in an olive shade or thereabouts. The difference in colouration really lends to a more effective atmosphere of tension and suspense, IMHO.

Agreed,

Brazil especially in the Dawn of their own Terror were creating Brazilian originals!

These creators were revolutionary and created a historic legacy in the Horror Genre...

Jayme Cortez and Miguel Penteado were traditionally trained from the old world.

Their styles and color pallet's are extra-ordinarily unique and their influence on those who followed was distinctive ...

Such as other Master artisans Eugene Colonesse, Nico Rosso, and Julio Shimamoto

It would be great to get these covers archived in the Grand Comics Database. I'm sure Komic-Kazi if you gave them permission they would download your wealth of awesome covers for documenting these important works in comic history...

The difficult part is filling out the author/artist credit information, but I'm guessing you might have a great list for that too.

Thanks again sooo much for sharing! Big eye opener for all of us TO Crypt/Creepshow/Eerie/Creeps/Creepy junkies here in the US! Wow! Outstanding...!

I think it would be great to document those books! They're too good not to share. It would also help raise awareness for original comics from non-English speaking countries.

I am a huge contributor to GCD and we have uploaded over 1k editions to there website even more than that.

We currently have 13,602 IMP's and have a world wide ranking of 242.

Sharing everything on Flickr, IG, FB and GCD, as well as the national website of Brazil were we are one of the largest GA contributors is a full time job.

Our family spends well over two hours a day sharing materials, that is why we have over 18 Million views just on Flickr alone. I am sure with IG and FB its triple that total.
