Good to know about the Invoice to see the status. The order is showing "Grading" but my next submissions shows "ImagingSP", whatever that is.

Not sure where "Heat Seal" and "Labels" fit in relation to each other, but after that comes "Production", then "Shipping". I think "Heat Seal" is the inner well, where as "Production" is the hard plastic shell that doesn't get Newton Rings. When you get the e-mail that says "Production" there's generally only a week or so left.

Wow, I was soooooo pumped back in June (13) when I received an email that my Comics had finally hit Grading. Now, over 2 months later and still in Grading. It never ends.

Right, nothing to add. We already know the full process to get through grading is in the 9-12 months range. Your order hit the grading room at month 8. Until it ships, I think you'll only get one additional e-mail that will say something like "hit the production floor and will be shipping soon". Otherwise, you have to go into the order on the dashboard and click on where it says "invoice". This will download your invoice and I'd guess yours will say either "labels" or "heatseal".


Thank you for that reminder to download the invoice. Mine shows HeatSeal. I had forgotten about it because I use to download and it never said anything other than processing.

It's a bit of a pain that you have to go through additional steps to see your actual status instead of the interface updating. Heatseal is after labels; I think i've seen that it's taking several weeks from when it pops up in healseal (wanna say anywhere 5-10).

On May 16, 2022, I received the email that the order had finally entered the grading room.



The Dashboard has not been updated and there has been no forward momentum since. I'm not a reseller but these are my person books! I would just like to see at least one of by five submission begin to see the end of the process, after all they have already taken my money. I could use the other company but their grades are not consistent as of late. So the choice is Quality & Lengthy TATs or faster TATs and questionable grades.


i am so down on this company. i sent in almost 40 comics in january hoping to get them back in say 7 months. i wanted to use them other than cgc and i am now forced to NEVER send in anything again to cbcs.

and cbcs never changes anything on there webpage.
the TATS are the same all the time

how is this even possible ?

cgc changes the days every week

cbcs NEVER makes any changes to the current TATS

i find it hard to believe its always the same times

In the unexpected good news column, just got an email that an order was completed. I had fast pass coupons so I sent a regular-speed pressing order with fast pass grading, just moderns. Received toward the end of July. Since Steve said they finished pressing July not all that long ago I thought I would still have a ways to go on grading. I guess the fast pass counted for something. We'll see how long it takes to actually get to FedEx.

well well well my birthday gifts are here early! books from 7/6/21 are now all back. they had to split the order because 'something killed the children' didn't get sign the first time. the positive side for CBCS,they let me know 9 months in of the goof n was able to get it back to me 1 week b4 a year was up.plus 3of 4 came back 9.8's. the negative,'something killed the children' was the 9.6 and the area that made grade drop was the back side bottom right and there is middle edge damage to back cover.now for what its worth, I'm pretty sure those damages were not there or i wouldn't be whining about it.it appears i only took pics of front n not the back , so that's that. the other books came today, which put them 2 weeks over a year. moving on, overall I'm happy with grades and glad the books are back. waiting a year for my books took a toll on me, and made not send in more because i didn't what was going to happen.I've learn a lot from this and will correct my mistakes. so people here's my books enjoy!!!

soooooo.....I've had 2 orders ready for MCS (lone Star Comics/MyComicShop) to pickup for a few months now.

At first it tuned out CBCS didn't have them marked as such - shocking what with the "write it in" technology
Still been 2 months? since that was supposedly 'corrected'

Aaaaaannnnnd now CBCS is moving - so I'm sure the books won't get lost in the shuffle.........

a) any chance to see if these really are marked as pickup by MCS
b) any chance to see if they were already picked up?
c) during the move...are you driving by MCS???.....could you drop them off??
d) now with your former founder working at MCS....could you not make this a more formal arrangement so that things run smoother??? maybe for the $5 pickup fee CBCS could be the ones to drop them at MCS??

It's both sad and been happening for years.this is the TAT thread. Maybe we can get a stickied, "no choices left due to crap CS" thread going for non-TAT related comments of disdain for CBCS.

Be very careful with the company starting in P and ending in X. Most collectors will not accept their grades. I had several books done with them a few years ago. They did the job quickly. But I later found that they had made mistakes - e.g. missed missing pages. And as I said, the grades were not accepted by other collectors - for good reason as it turned out.
