Just wondering what kind of success, if any, members have had with Fast Pressing. I sent 10 books in with Fast Pass and Fast Pressing, received and in "Processing" since Sept 22nd. I admit I was foolish enough not to take note of the TAT at that time, but i do remember timing to be sometime in Feb for it to be completed. At this point here I have unfortunately come to terms with the fact that it will probably still be months before I see my books again, but had I known that Fast Pressing was a fancy way of saying hurry up and wait, I would of used the $180 towards booze. At least I would have had fun wasting the money. Again, just curious if anyone has ever had success with Fast Pressing. Thanks |

@Happyfacecomics is that number based off your current or past experience? or a part of the total randomness that is Fast Pressing TAT?

not sure how 193 business equates to 77 weeks... there are 252 work days in a year. in any case, my real question isn't about TAT, just wondering if there are any success stories tied to fast pressing TATs |

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. | xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
I don't have any particular before/after stories to share but I think the CBCS pressing team does a good job. It doesn't really matter whether you fast press or not as far as that goes, it's just a question of how long you're willing to wait. I can't find it quickly but the head presser had a thread where he posted before/after pics for a little bit if you want to dig around. |

@xkonk thanks for the heads up. I think this is the thread you were speaking of https://forum.cbcscomics.com/topic/15370/page/3/horrible-books-that-hit-my-pressing-desk/ Looking at a few of the post and I'm super pumped to get my books back all over again!! |

@SteveRicketts good news! Seeing results like that really helps keep perspective in why the books are sent in to get pressed to begin with. Btw any chance you could peek in and see where 21-34160D1 is in the queue? Thanks so much and I’m sure all members will be happy to see all the success stories that come across your desk again!!! |

Quote:Originally Posted by los2863my first sub was through a LCS and was mostly happy. I didn’t fully understand what was involved at the time and did not press. My 2nd and further subs have included Pressing and have been thoroughly impressed with the results regardless of grades. I have a 9.9 that would have definitely come back lower without a press; the rest are 9.8s and a couple 9.6s to keep me humble. I have a Fantastic Four 150 6.5 from the first sub that could possibly be 7.5/8.0 with pressing based on the graders notes. I will eventually resubmit that one. |
