So I got a lot of about 275 comics I bought from a friend having never dealt with comics before but I buy and resale alot of stuff on eBay anyway after a ton of research I picked out 16 comics to send to cbcs for grading only figuring that would help my investment. I submitted the comics on the 17th of July at that time I'm almost positive the turn around time was supposed to be around 16 weeks which I could live with but now obviously it's been way over that amount of time and I have emailed cbcs 6 or 7 times to see if I could just get an update of any kind about my Comics so I know something at least and can't seem to get a response of any kind. Now I'm gonna be moving in a few months and at this rate I'm worried I won't receive my books back before I move and they will get sent to my old address I'm at now. So in summary my questions are how do I get a status update when no one will return my emails and secondly if I don't have my books back around the time I'm gonna be moving is there a way to update my address with them so I make sure my Comics aren't sent to the wrong address? Any help or guidance would be appreciated greatly!!!

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
@ehustle327 welcome to the forum!

If you look around a bit, you'll see there are a lot of people trying to get updates because grading is very slow these days. For the most important part of your question, updating your address, I would send an email to customer service clearly asking to update that one thing. Make the title very clear - "update address for order XXX" or something similar, and don't do much in the body besides give the new address and the order number. Customer service is overwhelmed, and honestly not great in the best of times, so make life easy for them. Having the title tell them that you actually have an important issue, as opposed to being yet another person trying to get a status update, will also probably help get your need addressed a little quicker.

More generally, take a read through the newbie thread toward the top of the forum. You'll learn some helpful things about what to expect and how to do things more efficiently if you decide to send more comics in the future.

One thing you'll see is that your TAT begins when the comics arrive at CBCS, not when you make your order. Your TAT didn't begin at 10 PM on July 17, which was a Saturday night.

Another is that the most up-to-date status for your order (usually) is to click on the 'invoice' link next to your order number and see what it says there. Many people see the 'processing' below their order number and assume that's a status but it is not.

Finally, in terms of knowing where in the process your order is, it's (somewhat?) helpful to know that most of your TAT, even when things are fast, consists of your books sitting around and waiting for someone to do something to them. When the regular modern TAT is 8 weeks, that's like 6 weeks of waiting for the graders to get to them. The actual grading process is pretty quick, then the order waits for labels and encapsulation. Then there's a wait for the shipping people to get the order ready and out the door. With TATs this long it can be nice to know where your order is, because right now there might be a month or two between grading and shipping, but honestly I don't find the status that helpful. Your books are very likely sitting somewhere waiting their turn.

expect long waits. people waited months before the process to grade to begin. some wait 2+ months before they were told they received it. best to do is be patient. im sure grading a single issue will take a while because they have to inspect every single detail to give it the right grade. now include god knows how people submitting and their total ammounts. if you are #874 in line.....it will be a while

I think waiting at the dmv from the movie "Zootopia" will have faster results
