Affect* And it depends on the faults specific to each book. Think of pressing like ironing a shirt. Ironing will get out wrinkles and creases but won’t help with frays, tears, or stains Some people just press everything to be sure |

Of course it can affect the grade, but does it need it? Is it brand new off the shelf with no defects? Is the book worth the press cost? Is it fragile with multiplr defects where a press may not help?

There are a few good examples of what CBCS has been able to do on this thread https://forum.cbcscomics.com/topic/15370/page/1/horrible-books-that-hit-my-pressing-desk/ |

@asapa8 It depends on the book and the defects. We do offer a press screen service, where I will review your books and only press if we feel it will improve the grade of the book.

If it’s a key the the price difference of a 9.8 and 9.6 will almost always justify the 12$ pressing cost
