@SteveRicketts Just got my first submission back today that I had CBCS press. You guys did a beautiful job; I never thought my Doctor Strange #169 could look that good. I will definitely be using CBCS pressing again; I have a stack of G.I. Combat to send out before the summer is over.

My last submission in Sept took just under a month for VSP/pressing/grading all together at the slowest tier, so my guess is they should complete pressing and enter grading about 2-3 weeks after arrival at CBCS, approximately.

Submitted a new order back at the end of September. Pressing/grading only, just a handful of books.

Was dropped off in pressing on October 5th, still looks like it is in pressing. Friday will be coming up at the 20 business day mark for the average pressing TAT. CBCS must have got flooded from NYCC.

Looks like I'm at 21+ days on the pressing TAT.

Kind of interesting since earlier posters indicate their books make it though the whole process (pressing/grading) in the same timeframe.

My books are in Heat seal, should ship out this week I'm assuming.

@stevericketts one book wasn't pressed on this order 23-39E7BBC. I just wanted to know why? I hope it's not detached cover again

@teacha777 I wanted to put a fire emotional after wards but I was at work and couldn't get it lol . The turnaround time here is crazy good compared to what it was.

Is it safe to submit ASP books for pressing/cleaning? I haven't tried it, but I'd like to know if anybody has done this, prior to submitting to CBCS for pressing/cleaning and then re-grading.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah that’s fine most will press/clean when grading because a grade bump is almost always worth the 15 bucks but there’s also inherit risk that the book can be ruined.

Thanks @teacha777. Sounds dangerous then, because the autograph ink might be dissolved or something.
Probably better to have it slabbed (Authenticated) only in the future.

In my opinion, cbcs does excellent pressing. I don't see them doing anything that will risk damaging the signature. I have had nothing but positive results with them. The only reason I swapped to a 3rd party was when they had huge time delays. Quality was never an issue.

Literally had 100’s slabs with sigs pressed and cleaned from the 90’s to recent never had that happened. Have had detached covers happen twice and significantly lower grades after a crack sign and press(which could be due to any number of things)
