Because of all of the rampant comic speculation and cgc's semi-annual price increases, CBCS has been taking in substantially higher amounts of pressing even to the point of breaking the previous months records almost every month for over a year now.

Don't know if you saw one of my recent posts, but I suspect that they will be increasing the estimated TAT's again as on of my two grade only submissions that they receive on 7/6 was just shipped out to me yesterday. That was just over a 32 week TAT for grade only modern. And, my 2nd from that same day is still in labels.

Now, that being said, it is possible that your submission is already out of press and in grading, and they have not updated your dashboard yet. On more recent submissions, it seems that are fairly up to date, but the older submissions may still not be up to date in the process.

So why doesn't CBCS stop sending me email after email begging for more books and hire more people to work on the millions of books they have lying around? I understand it's a skill, so teach people or hire qualified people who can grade, press, whatever. They're making money hand over fist since Covid came around, it's time to spend it on some true customer service (as in doing the service we paid them for). Also, my TAT shouldn't change just because they got more subs. If they can't get the pressing deal to work in a timely matter then pass the pressing business onto another company and get our books done. I'm literally losing money now bc Love and Thunder is coming and the 1st app of Gor will be pretty much worthless once the MCU kills him onscreen. All we want is what we paid for and when we were promised we'd get them back. I guess it's too much to ask nowadays for a company to keep a promise to their customers. It's just aggrevating as hell.

Or possibly ruin your books and lose thousands.

^^^ this^^^

we all watch renovation shows yes???
you can buy all the same equipment and materials yes??
ours will likely look like sh!t when compared to a pro -yes!!!

could we with much experience and trial and error get the same results - probably

when I need something worth decent $$ pressed, even with my own skills brought up - would I do it -hell NO!!

Why is everyone so scared to buy a press and practice on cheap books? That's what I did, and within a month I was pressing without problems.

Processing, verb.

Oxford definition: perform a series of mechanical or chemical operations on (something) in order to change or preserve it.

CBCS definition: MIND YOUR BUSINESS.

I guess we are all guilty of this...wanting to sell our worthless books to sheep who don't realize that they will be worthless again in 6 months.

If you can't read and follow instructions, then maybe.

I bought one, pressed my own book and got 2 9.8s and a 9.4 on my first sub. The 9.4 was my fault as it wasn't a nicer book when I bought it but I bought it just to practice pressing on. Just saying, with a little practice, you can do it yourself.

You have 2 new Cases and one rivet label? Something doesn’t add up if they were both submitted at the same time….. don’t feed the trolls….

That's a real good eye!
How are non-rivet CBCS cases and rivet CBCS cases part of the same "I bought one, pressed my own book and got 2 9.8s and a 9.4 on my first sub"?

Looks like they are all 2016 submissions. And @FuneralBill5150 has plenty of other CBCS books on his page from same timeframe. In his defense I'm gonna guess that he's just remembering them incorrectly as being all in the same submission. Or, he should be kind of irritated if he got back both Rivets and New Labels from the same submission. On the other hand, in respect to forum guidelines, he probably shouldn't be encouraging others to become DIY pressers.

The fact he is strangely absent now when he was very active in the thread is another red flag

@kidhuman - No problem. But, keep in mind a couple of things.

1) I still have 2 of my 11 May submissions that are still not reflecting that they have moved to Grading. This may just be a case that they were pressed but just missed the notification stack.

2) Last summer and again this spring, they had huge inflow spikes, so while my May and June submissions have been running at 40 - 53 week TAT's, later submissions from July on look to have Press TAT's of least 50 weeks and will probably average higher.

CBCS Canada is no more....if we didnt get tracking before we certainly won't now

Shocking that it wasnt communicated to those with orders in process. Another example of a professionally run operation!!

Wonder how my pickup in Oakville will be affected!!!
