So, dashboard is still hit or miss and not back to the 4th quarter 2019 norms yet, (now for some sugar coating ) but getting there. |

I can forgive a multitude of things. I can forgive being overwhelmed and having to hire and train Graders, which takes time. I can forgive being overwhelmed and having to hire and train Pressors, which takes time. What I cannot forgive, as a paying customer, in any business not just this one, is horrible customer service. Surely hiring someone to answer the phone or respond to emails would not require Indepth, technical training. This is very disappointing. My books have been marked as in processing since June of last year. I hand carried them in. The only way I knew they were in pressing was because Steve Ricketts responded to an inquiry but that was months ago and even that is not happening anymore. I have sent emails to Customer Service and anyone whose emails are listed on this site. I have called Customer Service and let messages. I have called anyone whose phone number is listed on the site to no avail. I have it set up so that I will go to CBCS to pick them up when they are done because my original intent was to drop off more at that time. I am seriously re-thinking this. As a collector, I want my books encapsulated but I might have to wait for all of this to get sorted. Right now, CBCS has not earned my return business. |

@Gibby357 - have you clicked the "Print Invoice" hyperlink after clicking your "Order #" hyperlink on your dashboard? It may have a further update. Like I mentioned above, hit or miss.

In fairness, I just received an email response from one of the Senior Sales Managers. With a submission of June 2021 and press screening, my books are still in pressing as of today. Hope this helps others!

(on a side note the 1 book I submitted for just grading [no pressing] has also not been graded, so it seems it will take another year after pressing to get the grading done) |

I was told in December that my submission in October was in pressing.....obviously erroneous information - was also told several times by CS that they'd look into my order and get back to me "within 24 to 48 hours"....... that was in December - still waiting for that call back with info ...LOL. Was my first submission to CBCS - TOT posted on their site at the time of submission was 12 weeks for pressing , 12 weeks for grading.......but was told by a CS rep I spoke with PRIOR to submitting order that it was 8/8 weeks .....one would think that the clock would start when received , but apparently , with the ever changing TOT , if not yet in one of the stages, that's what to expect, so now it seems about a year and a half for pressing then grading..

After this experience, 100+ books still out from 2021 (80 w/ fast pass & Fast press from Sept),the Tynion signing debacle, and having a book messed up in pressing, I have no plans to submit books to CBCS in 2022. Estimates, should inherently, be approximate. They serve no real purpose otherwise. Suggesting, after we have arrived around the completion date, that the times were "only estimates" FEELS misleading. Many of us would not have submitted, or had changed our submission choices, if the information presented to us at the time of submission was even close to accurate. I have seen some people suggest that CBCS could not have predicted the rush. I agree with that. However, after the 2nd or 3rd month of record-breaking submissions (if the rush started in March 2021) someone must have realized they did not have the resources to meet their original estimations. Why not update at that point? May? June? July? etc. All of this makes it FEEL like they were focused, primarily, on grabbing market share. CGC was vulnerable and they were looking to capitalize on their rival. It FEELS like they purposefully withheld information that would have put them at a disadvantage in this endeavor. I say FEEL to express that I don't know the true situation. Just how it appears to me as an individual customer. |

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. | xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
Got the shipping email... from FedEx. This was a very end of April 2021 modern/expanded order with pressing. It was marked received on my end in mid May and I got the email that it moved to grading in mid January. If memory serves it moved to labels pretty quickly after that and has been there for close to 2-3 months. |

@xkonk I picked up my mid-to-late April 2021 order a little more than a month ago. With yours submitted and the end of April and just shipping now, would seem they took in a month to a month and a half of work over the course of about a week last spring. TAT at the time was between six and seven months. No wonder it’s gotten longer. |

@CatCovers I'm just happy they're on their way. With the current TATs for non-fast tiers I was worried they'd start getting swamped behind all the guaranteed orders that start coming in. I only have that concern for two orders now.

So you can get a rough ideas as to where things stand higher level tiers, below are status updates on my only higher tier w/Press submission that was delivered to CBCS on February 17th. This combined submission contained one 2-Day Modern (900 Value) and one Rapid comic (Pre-1975 3900 Value) set of comics. There was no Fast Press nor Fast Pass utilized. 22-0672243 - 2 Comics - In Labels 4/20 - There was no previous notification of being in Press room or Grading room, only dashboard reflecting processing. I will update until completed. |

CBCS Pressing | SteveRicketts private msg quote post Address this user
@Cerebus3000 June was indeed a big month for submissions. July was a little lighter. The good news is that Pressing has been hiring, training, and expanding which is ramping up our volume. Our plans are to have our employee count doubled and equipment tripled from where we are currently by July/August of this year. I want the pressing turnaround to eventually be down to 12 weeks for regular submissions and make that number maintainable going forward. CBCS has been hiring and expanding exponentially over the last year in ALL departments. The past several months have seen an even more incredible push for expanse, which is not going to stop for the foreseeable future. Just know that with all the people being hired, it takes a while for them to be trained to the point they are self sufficient and have the ability to significantly impact the volume we produce. I'm very excited by what's going on behind the scenes at CBCS. We have some amazing things coming over the next few months. Many things that have been a long time in the works. I know there is a lot of frustration, and I understand. Believe me, we want you to get your books back too, and I'm optimistic that we will have the pendulum swinging in the other direction very soon. Sorry for unloading, but I know you guys want to know there's a light at the end of the tunnel. There is. Be optimistic. I certainly am because I know what's coming. |
