There should be a side-bet to see who'll be the first to vote early.

Ok, this makes two weeks in a row that I screwed up on the check marks!!! Like last week, it looks like @Paint_Monk will get at least one vote from me. But I really do like that cover!!!

@Jesse_O you can never go wrong with "Spy Hunters A Go-Go!"

Wait a minute ... is this a submission?? I "voted up" your comment about the side bet, not the cover.

Heck, I didn't even think that was a comic-book cover. Just some cartoon image or an ad or something. Doesn't it have to have a price to be a comic book?

Just a reminder- There's a thread for side comments so the actual Contest Threads can remain uncluttered.

There are plenty of choices just in X-Men 1 through 50, besides the one I went with.

^^^
Actually seeing those Silver Age X-Men covers 18, 22 and 29 in a row underscores how formulaic those covers are. The artist Werner Roth (who originally did a lot of romance work) doesn't seem like he was enthused by the X-Men. (Kirby helped with #18's cover.)
Should this stuff be posted in the pinned Cover thread, and not here?

@ShallaBal Probably, but I figure once the posting is done and voting has clearly begun it shouldn't be an issue. The pinned thread was created to cut down on posts in the middle of the covers to be voted on.

I considered doing one of the JLA "Roll Call" covers, for which there are TONS. Number 38 was the first, but I think Perez really nailed the format.
