@GeeWiz Hey nice issue. I no know since i don't use CGC, so I'm a asking, what is the second hologram sticker saying (QES?) and what is it for? It looks like it's on top of the slab, true? Thanks ^_~

The QES is added by the seller, I think it's ComicLink or Comicconnect. Kind of their way of putting their fingerprints on the nicer books that come through them. The way a Porsche dealer might put a license plate frame on a car that they sell.

Here’s an old thread on the subject:

It’s supposed to indicate that the book is an outstanding example of said grade.

I am just starting to build a New Teen Titans (Perez) collection, figured I would start by getting the expensive keys out of the way first. So here is what I just purchased from eBay...

@brysb the titians 44 is from my lcs. Every time I go in he has me take pictures of books he puts on eBay, this is one I took for him, Congrats on your pick ups. I have a few raw dc 26 that I think I'll send to cgc to have Perez sign.

Cool...It's a small world.

I was torn between getting this copy or another, but decided on this. The price was amazing!

I’ve searched for a “Howard” Book Signed by Gerber for a couple months. This will hold me until I can find a yellow label book.

I won this this today for a very reasonable price. Might Press and verify for the PC.

@Johnnylray I find the backstory behind the creation of the character interesting. Like Marvel figured "Why not?" after the record company pulled out of the deal and decided to go see what happens. I liked the character in X-Men, but I didn't know anything about her until well after she left the team and went off to the Mojoverse with Longshot, then I had to go back and read old X-Men issues. I'll sit down to read her solo series from the 80s at some point.

Have you come to accept Newton Rings, or are they gone now, leaving fewer reasons to NOT go with CGC?

Newton Rings are not 100% gone, but are certainly less common than they once were.

Stopped at a few shops on my way to my dad's house. I'm embarrassed to say that there was some pure dreck that found it's way to me.

$0.30 price variant. This one will need some good work done to it by a pancake professional.

NM $0.75 Canadian price variant just hanging out with the rest.

I can't believe I stooped to this...
