| I used a whole can of Lysol yesterday at work. I sprayed everything down multiple times. I don't know if I was doing any good, but it helped ease my stress a little. | ||

Did you expect the US Government to invade China to get our scientists in country? Thus, typing about Obama’s response to an Ebola crisis is irrelevant. You are comparing apples to oranges. The Chinese lied about the outbreak, they destroyed data and lied about the number of infected people, the refused to share data, the the WHO issued a statement on 1/14/20 (based upon what the Chinese were telling them) that there was NO CLEAR EVIDENCE OF HUMAN TO HUMAN TRANSMISSION, and the Chinese silenced doctors and Nurses attempting to get information out on the virus. Remember, the Shanghai-based laboratory that published the first genome of the coronavirus in January was closed the next day for what Chinese authorities called “rectification.” I could write that “I get it, in your opinion the Trump administration missed it all. I can see how you’d feel that way with all the help and free flow of information about the virus that the Chinese were providing the world.” However, at the end of the day Trump ain’t perfect, but we are all in the same life boat. The daily pressers are very transparent about the response we are moving forward with. Going with my “I get it...”statement really isn’t anymore helpful than your laying the blame for all of this at Trump’s feet while painting the Obama administration as saintly. |

And sometimes, when it gets really awful, thousands of people will die because of it. Unfortunately, we are in one of those awful times. Some of us here want to discuss that, and some of us don't. I get that. Move along if you don't, it's a free country. @GAC No one cares? Oh, boy, is THAT wrong. About incompetence in our leaders? About mistakes that cost lives? About informed opinions? | Given the barrage of emails the mods have been receiving over the last 48 hours, I'll make this simple. We've been trying to let everyone have a place to discuss this totally unusual situation the world is currently in. By doing so, the mods have allowed some boundaries to be pushed. However, it's starting to mutate away from "here's what is happening where I live and how my family is being affected" into "this political party/person is to blame". So I'm going to ask this just once...keep the he/she/political party did whatever out of the discussion or you will be given a VERY lengthy vacation. The topic will continue to be discussed as it is relevant to our hobby, our lives, and us personally. If the discussion continues with you being a part of it is entirely up to you. This is the only warning that will be given. May you and your families remain safe through this pandemic. I pray for us all to make it through safely. |

Basically, if you have that much passion and energy and are willing to debate this topic it shouldn’t matter where the conversation exists. | I agree, if its a rule it should be laid out so that certain people dont just assume they have authority to tell everyone else what they can or cannot say or discuss. …. I do understand you can apply that catch all, at your discretion thing, but as far as the actual letter of the law, I never saw that in there either, and why I refused to let people tell me what I can post . Also not arguing the point itself, and understood, just saying that it doesn't seem to appear in the rules anywhere is all. |

| My son has a comics/collectibles store. He is delivering the weekly pull list to customers that want to stay shut in. Gotta feed that fix, plus it’s the right thing to do. Perhaps more folks will go back to reading. He has increased his EBay listings too, might as well, the store is pretty empty. My daughter works for a company that provides internet content, she works from home and has never been busier. Being a hermit by nature and always hating crowds, traffic, mass transit, big cities and the like, selfishly I hope some of this social distancing stays permanent. Never even liked shaking hands, or especially hugging, nothing worse. Prefer it didn’t take any deaths to get there, but some of this will hopefully be permanent because it is wise to distance, at least to me. And I am getting things listed like wrestling cards I thought I would never get around to. Hope all you guys can just hide out for the duration, impossible for some I know. And I have a brother who still thinks it’s a hoax, those kind of people exist, despite all the facts I throw at him. Makes hiding out all the more important |
