Personally, I think it looks cool! I just wish CBCS would step up their game.

It's a waste of money, in my opinion. Just like buying the large coke at a fast food place with a self-serve soda fountain.

If I was teetering on getting some ASM's graded, this would give me the incentive to do it now. I was against this stuff at first but, it has a nice look for a book that is already eye candy. I don't think it's a waste of money when you want your books to like as nice as possible for your personal collection or resale.

I will say if I was buying a book and one had the label and one didn't, I would go with the labels. I do hate how cgc nickels and dimes customers. Paying for grader notes still really bothers me. I paid for the service, I should get how they came up with that grade as part of their service.

Don’t forget, this label is another tier. That means that it get its own shipping cost. I know from experience that I either missed this info or CGC just makes it difficult to find.

I agree that I want my book to look as good as possible, which is why I don't like holographic stickers or flashy pictures on my label. Classy, not showy.

It's essentially the same Malibu Stacy doll but with a new hat and higher price tag.

I love nonsense. Someone's buying, so I'll be selling my spider-man label bridge with that magical 9.8 modern number.

By not offering a gimmick label for an additional fee?

I think this is the answer to the most recent "What's Next?"
To each their own.

So, what's next?

Party poopers! I can't think of a single person on this forum that hasn't complained or bitched about CBCS needing to up their game, be a trendsetter and not a follower, be innovative and come out with something new for the collectors. So now what I'm hearing is you don't want them to do anything new because it may cost a few extra bucks to say, commission Neal Adams to make a Batman CBCS label for example. I want CBCS to be creative and stir things up. It's a competition for business out there and if you don't want the shiny new thing out there, you don't have to buy it, stick with the old but at least the option would be available. It's a business people. Wow, no hypocrites here, LOL!

One thing I don’t care for about these labels (aside from the $5 up charge plus separate tier) is that any special notations on the label (like 2st appearance of a character) gets moved to the back of the label.

Seriously, cgc? You couldn’t make a label that doesn’t displace basic info on the front?

I'm right here.

I just think they should do a good job the first time in a reasonably timely manner.

I am going to buy some gnarly stickers and put em on my slabs. Batman stickers are pretty damn cool on a Moonknight slab.

I can think of one.

Now if CBCS could come up with a really cool artist-designed limited edition label that increased the market demand for Restored comics...that would really be something.

It bothers me because it is not informative and takes up real estate on the slab and just plain pisses me off.

How about a special limited edition poop label?
It could be applied to all Variants and comics with Mfg defects that are given 9.8

If people like the labels, and want them, then by all means get it. I find these labels distracting from the books. If there specific labels for different eras of Spidey (ie. Romita Sr label, McFarlane label, etc), that would be slightly more appealing to me. I agree with @Drogio about the comments being moved to the back of the label as well.

Besides, it's only "Limited Edition" but not listed as a "Limited Edition Collector's Item" which would increase it's value to the slab.

I don't get a lot of comics graded a year or buy a whole lot of graded comics. Maybe buy less than 10 and my next CBCS submission will be around 40 books. So my opinion might not be worth much. I just like the CBCS cases a lot better. I have noticed that all the CGC books im getting have Newton rings. Some not as bad as others but I kinda feel this is a way for them to say oh look we will give you a nice label to make up for our crappy cases with Newton Rings. Maybe its a marketing trick to make people notice the labels and not the rings, or that people wont complain about the rings so much. I like the labels but the money it cost to get one I would rather put to getting another book graded.
