do comics that are insured for $100.00 have to have someone there to sign for them? I had 2 others come back that were insured for 1k that did require a sig.(which is difficult with our working schedule) I am kinda hoping it doesn't require one.

Pretty sure it requires a signature no matter value. You can send it to a fedex / kinkos or I think Walgreens if it makes it easier to sign for

Could someone please advise me how or whom I contact to STOP getting updates to a thread that I posted in "Ask questions here without starting a new thread 2022"? *Am I overlooking something?* I unchecked everything over two months ago (see picture), yet I still receive email updates. I responded (back in Feb) to the message I rec'd from spaulus when I joined the forum for help and got no response. I would rather NOT abandon the account I created, reroute it to my spam filter or a fake email address. My luck with getting a response from CBCS is equal to that with the "other guys". Thanks in advance |

Okay this is not my first-time processing books with CBCS. But I had the same issue last time when I go in and enter my books it doesn't give me all of the options especially the new options and fast pass. It is just not there. I don't have the 4 blocks on the right side including the one for fast pass. Okay update: I am looking for the Standard and Priority it seems the screen I am on does not list the two options. I have tried entering books but it does not show up on the drop-down menu all it lists is New and Express. No Standard and no Priority. |

@cklamer You’re going to have to be more specific or provide some images of with where you are looking and what options you are expecting to see because your description is very confusion to follow For the comic names, enter the name of the book and click submit and you get a message. It tells you to click there to add your desired title. Fo that and you can enter any comic title you’d like Fast pass is not used on an individual basis anymore. You select Standard, Priority, or Express to apply to the entire order On the individual books, the service levels visible are dependent on the information you provide, specifically the year of publication and fmv If that doesn’t help, again, please provide more information and/or images so we can understand what you are seeing and what you are trying to accomplish |

I have a bunch of book that where damaged in a tornado and I would like to know if just a cracked CGC case will it get the same grade if just the case was broke and no water damage.

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. | xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
@Buzbe I'm not sure what CGC would do if you send it to them. If the case is broken they might regrade it even if you ask for a reholder. If you send it to CBCS they'll regrade it because it wasn't theirs.

Recently submitted a CGC 9.8 book for a signature event. After getting it signed, remarqued, and re-graded. It came back as a 9.0, with the notes "minor edge, corner bends front & back cover does not break color". I wasnt expecting maybe a 9.6 or a 9.4, but not a 9.0. Has this score decrease happened to anyone else. Just wondering if this is common or anything I can do?

You can send back to CGC and chance them to press it since it did not break color. Or have cbcs press it. Granted you will need to pay for grading and pressing either way, but at least cbcs will be pressed right. Cgc pressing is spotty at best.

Quote:Originally Posted by BrenoMp Do you mean you submitted a CGC book to a CBCS signing event? In that case the grade drop is not surprising. The general opinion seems to be that CBCS grades stricter than CGC. Also getting it signed and remarked suggests the book may have had additional handling and more chance for damage. I recently submitted a CGC 9.0 that came back an 8.5 from CBCS even with a press |

@dielinfinite @Bronte Yes it was a CGC book which I sent to a CBCS signing event. Interesting, I did not realize that CBCS graded much harder than CGC. Is it even possible to get it pressed after its been remarqued on?

I sent a comic in to get graded, but I found out that I am having to move mid next month. I’ve emailed twice now and never heard back about changing the address. And my order still shows the original address. Is there a better way to contact them? They aren’t replying to emails. I got an email today that my comic has moved to pressing, I’m assuming there is absolutely no way I get it back by mid February |

Unfortunately there really isn’t another customer service email address to try. Have you tried calling them to see if that is more productive? Otherwise you don’t have much choice but you resend your message to customer service until they respond

Not sure if they saw this, but I got an email back about an hour ago changing the address. Problem solved. They said they have been out of the office |

How would i ship it? | ||
Post 476 IP flag post |
Collector | CaptAjax private msg quote post Address this user
I ship using USPS. Unfortunately, they charge $25 to return via Fedx……so, The reholder will cost you $12 + $25 = $37 + your shipping to them (about $10 via USPS). Approx $47 I usually wait and send 3 or more at the same time to reholder and/or grade. You can send some to grade and others to reholder in the same USPS box. If you do that you will save $$$$ |

Anytime I am considering having a comic graded, I look it up on eBay to determine it’s possible worth. Unless it is for your private collection, then Yes! Also, if you can get it signed by the writer and / or artist the value could double! |
