I want to submit for the Glen Fabry signing event. However I’m confused on how exactly to submit for a Remarque as it seems I can only add a verified signature.

The notes say:
spine stress breaks color at edge, few small color scuffs
minor front & back cover bends, dents, tiny edge wear

But it looks like I can now see the pages behind the cover.

I took two photos to see if it would explain what I am seeing.

Does it look askew to anyone else?

yeah I noticed that with mine as well. cant prove or disprove anything. from now on I plan on taking pictures of my submitted comics. front and back to make sure

Plano, TX 75074 is the new address correct. I know they changed locations was just checking on here before I ship 5 comics off because of that promo code they have out now enticed me to finally get my five books together and ship them off

I would email Matt Edwards to be sure but I would add a authentic signature to your order (like the instructions say) and put a note with your books to add a remarque. If it were me, I would write it on the invoice and the backing board. They should fix the pricing for you down the road.

Hope this isn't too stupid of a question but, I know there are issues know as "1st appearance of...." and I've seen that on the top of some issues displayed. My question is,: do they only put that on issues that are graded? Not just slabbed or with signature verification? I had several I sent to have sig. verification and got them back relatively quickly, but as an example I think its either #2 or #3 had a 1st appearance of a char. and it wasn't on it anywhere. I have issue #1 that was set for grading and had a sig. its now showing heat seal, but also list that its a variant. Am I correct in assuming that only graded ones get those kind of distinctions on their labels? Again, sorry if this is a dumb question.

@Lobofan Welcome!!

Not a dumb question.

When sending to CBCS, if you chose VSP and Slab Only, you will get a label that looks like this. No book information, no grade...only that the signature has been Verified.

If you selected the book to be graded and signature verified...you will receive a fully informed label like this.

But it might also be that the grading company doesn't recognize the 1st appearance you're looking for too...that's a possibility as well.

I've just received My 1st graded comic back, and I had to sign for it. I do understand why they want that due to them being insured, but My question is What if you can't be home that day? They have an issue of mine that has been there a month longer than the one I got back, and it went from pressing back to received, so I guess it'll be going to grading soon. I will be going to a con out of town soon, and will be gone for a few days. Once I see it is in grading is there anyway I can request it not to arrive between a like 3 day period? Or how many times will they try to get it to you? FedEx is who they are using for me. Thanks for any help

@Lobofan

You can do a redeliver to a fedex / kinkos or I think Walgreens (need to check on that) and then you have a couple of days before you need to come by and sign for it.

thanks for your response, unfortunately we don't have either of those in this entire county (only 2 small cities, and a couple of towns) There is a pack and mail, I wonder if they'd do that? on the other hand maybe it'll come either before or after I have to go away?

Thanks, That should work.. I wonder if they'd allow for an address change, and have it sent to where I work and let my boss sign for it?

If you have a comic come back after signed and graded and go to a comic event that CBCS has a rep at to open and witness another sig. Does it have to go thru grading again or can it keep its grade

@Lobofan Whenever a book is removed from its case it will need to be regraded

I am new also, but it seems to vary, I just had 2 go thru it that were submitted about a month apart. The one they got second somehow moved from pressing to grading and then heat seal 1st. That one was in grading about 4 days as was heat seal. The other went into grading and then heat sell in only 3 days total. I'd contact them if its been 3 weeks or more. https://www.cbcscomics.com/sales-team They got back in touch with me fairly quickly when My 1st submission, didn't seem to show it was anywhere.(this was while they were still moving)

I recently mailed a book for a signature event signing to the location in Wyoming. Does anyone know the process for this, as my book still says submitted but the book was delivered.

@BrenoMp Books can take a while before they appear in the system as received.

Also, since signature event books go to a different address first they might not be checked into the client-facing dashboard until after the signing event, which could be a ways off.

do comics that are insured for $100.00 have to have someone there to sign for them? I had 2 others come back that were insured for 1k that did require a sig.(which is difficult with our working schedule) I am kinda hoping it doesn't require one.

Pretty sure it requires a signature no matter value. You can send it to a fedex / kinkos or I think Walgreens if it makes it easier to sign for

Could someone please advise me how or whom I contact to STOP getting updates to a thread that I posted in "Ask questions here without starting a new thread 2022"? *Am I overlooking something?*

I unchecked everything over two months ago (see picture), yet I still receive email updates. I responded (back in Feb) to the message I rec'd from spaulus when I joined the forum for help and got no response.

I would rather NOT abandon the account I created, reroute it to my spam filter or a fake email address.

My luck with getting a response from CBCS is equal to that with the "other guys".

Thanks in advance
