If you were billed for grading on the books that failed verification then yes, you should get a refund on the grading fees. If you don’t see that after you’ve received the books then contact the billing department.

Also, just because the signatures failed verification does not mean they are fake. Stan Lee’s signature in general is infamous for failing verification as it varies significantly, especially in his final years

Thanks I'll keep an eye out.
I have a bunch of Stan Lee sigs, but since most of them I got in the 80s I have no trail at all.
I thought the COA would be more successful, but I know nothing.

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
@Paul_G they don't take anything into account when verifying signatures except for the signature itself. COAs, photos of the person signing a book, none of it matters.

I know they don't look at the COA when verifying, I just meant I feel they should be a little more reliable and likely to pass than random signed comics on EBay.

All good on the billing front, the total was adjusted.

I thought they'd post the grades on the dashboard, but I guess that happens later? (They are now marked as "Shipping"

Quick question on the sig verification program. I have a Batman book that Scott Snyder signed and wrote “thanks” on as well. Does the presence of the word “thanks” mean anything? Will the verified yellow label say something like “verified sig Scott Snyder and writing on cover” or do they not even mention it? Just wondering if it hurts the book grade/verification at all.

COLLECTOR dielinfinite private msg quote post Address this user
@bw327 If the signature is verified they should ignore it for the grade and will likely not be mentioned on the label

If already asked, please let me know where...submitting some comics and 1 of them I am REALLY worried about it getting damaged. Should I send it in a BCW top loader or just over bubble wrap everything. Does CBCS return the top loader or trash it? I could care less, would just like to know.

Thank you un advance.

I would use toploader and bubble wrap. Or double box the hell out of it.

They prolly trash the toploader. They aren't sending that back to you.

Edit
I have seen some folks put in toploader. But in gemini then put in box. That was the safest I've seen.

Interestingly, I got the books a week ago (yay!), but the dashboard still says "shipping" and no grades have been posted.

I mean, no biggie, since I have the books, but it doesn't bode well for work flow.

Question about books with Inserts like posters or tattoos like spawn 1 has a poster or amazing spider man 238 has tattoos. How big of a ding on the grade dose a book get if it’s missing a poster or a tattoo.
Post 413 IP   flag post
COLLECTOR dielinfinite private msg quote post Address this user
@Travis They will be labelled “Incomplete” and the grade will be capped at a certain level (maybe 7.5, maybe dependent on what is missing)

Hi!

This is probably a silly question but I cannot find any updates on my actual account/dashboard. I received an email stating the comics were graded and now in shipping. However, I can find no additional details on my account.

I thought I would see the grade or at least the list of graded comics under recently graded section but it still says no comics.

Are the grades available online after they have been shipped? Or do I just wait for them to arrive to see?

Thanks!

I got my books! I am pretty happy overall, but I do have one concern.

I got a Sandman back at 9.2. I am happy with that, but do the covers sometimes get shifted a bit from the interior of the book in the slabbing process?

The notes say:
spine stress breaks color at edge, few small color scuffs
minor front & back cover bends, dents, tiny edge wear

But it looks like I can now see the pages behind the cover.

I took two photos to see if it would explain what I am seeing.

Does it look askew to anyone else?

How long do the books stay in processing? I my books were received in November last year and outside of the one change in status to “processing”. Haven’t really had any movement on the books.
Post 420 IP   flag post
COLLECTOR dielinfinite private msg quote post Address this user
@Milestone_EP Processing is the umbrella status for an order that is at CBCS that hasn’t been encapsulated yet. So an order will be in Processing for like 99% of the time it is at CBCS from the time it is received until it is being packed up for shipping.

For more detailed information on the status of your order you can check your invoice (see here for instructions) or you can input the order number into the new order tracker

CBCS’ turnaround times have been abysmal for about 2 years now if you haven’t shelled out for one of their expedited services. People are currently saying to expect about a year for standard grading and an extra year+ on top of that if your order includes pressing

@Airwave I do see what you’re referring to though without any “before” pictures it is hard to say exactly what we’re seeing.. I know my copy of this book shows a slicer of the first page along the outside edge but not the fanned pages. It could just be natural imperfections in production or it could be something else.

If you look at the spine are the staples neatly along the edge or is there some rolling occurring?

Thanks for the response! I am not sure, but will try to get a better picture. I guess my bigger question is, does it still seem like it should grade as a 9.2 with the pages visible or should it be lower?

Thanks again!

I sent several books to CBCS Canada 14 months ago. I have inquired several times via email as to there status and received no response. I realize that CBCS Canada is no longer operating, and that customer service with CBCS is a total joke. Anybody out there have any insights?

So my first every batch just came back from CBCS. Sent via Oakville August 2021 ("Received" November 2021), half with pressing. I had received 4 later orders back before this first one (no pressing being the key).

As you will see above in this thread: you need to go to your dashboard, click on the order, then download the order PDF --this is what gets updated more reliably. The dashboard itself rarely updates from received or processing.

You can also try the new Tracker, which seems hit or miss.

Note: for Canada, once my orders changed to "Ship To Canada" it sat like that for weeks. I finally contacted them and they said they were "waiting for address confirmation" since Oakville had closed in the interim. I said "yes the address on the invoice is still valid" and it shipped the next day.
Not sure how I was supposed to know they wanted confirmation since I never got an email or call, but I saw a warning on this forum to verify my address and it paid off.

Good luck...

I want to submit for the Glen Fabry signing event. However I’m confused on how exactly to submit for a Remarque as it seems I can only add a verified signature.
