Gorgeous Wrightson grey-tone cover. Got mine graded recently, too. The subdued colour palette makes her hair glow. Just beautiful.

I watch this thread go by and wish my comic budget was thousands of times what it is now. It's probably a good thing that it isn't. Sigh.

I find it's good for keeping me humble. Whenever I start thinking my collection is sweet, I can come look at a few pages of this thread and see just how bush-league I am.

I collect Drek so if one of my books ends up in this thread I'm doing something wrong 👍

I still can't believe such a great mover & shaker in the industry is gone so suddenly. I am so sorry you lost a friend.

Would absolutely LOVE to get mine signed by Jim. Unfortunately, I didn't get my X-Men 50 until last summer. I had previously met him in 2019.

As an aside, I got emails yesterday saying that I had three books coming through ready for encapsulation - including my double signed X-Men 94. I am hoping it MIGHT get a 5.0, but am anxious to see how it graded! Probably a 4.0 if I am honest about it. But it is signed by Claremont and McLeod.

@sborock

Is the pattern of your tabletop significant to the grading process (e.g. does it reveal more edge detects than say a white or black tabletop)?

Not really. Does not matter either way as I hold the book in my hands while grading.

Never was much of a DC or Batman fan, but even I'm jealous of that book. The owner needs to step up and identify themself immediately so we can all applaud and throw popcorn at them.

I’d love for my collection to be identified that way (Batman 10 - current and Detective 77 to current are my largest runs) but I am not the original owner…just a schmo who’s been lucky over the last 33 years!

Chuck Rozanski from Mile High is in Upper New York loading up a 53' semi trailer with comic books, action figures and toys today. Yesterday, he bought a collection that was from three generations of collectors. When the grandfather and father passed away, the grandson decided to sell. This collection took up 8 rooms and a basement of a commercial building. There are over 900 long boxes and he estimates over 300,000 comics. He's putting the better stuff in his van. He hopes they can fit it all on one trailer. These are just some of the pictures.
