Nice book!! I would love to add his sig to one of my books. I hope I still have that chance one day. Perez has had such a fantastic career.

I remember when this series came out. Lots of fun and George Perez's great artwork, too. It's amazing how he could put so much on a cover and yet it never seemed to be too busy.

How do these things even exist?!

I have found that books purchased and stored in Northern states tend to preserve well and keep those white pages much longer than books from the South. Too humid down here. I'm in Florida, so humidity is like 10 months out of the year.

This. 100% This. Finding older books in good condition in TX is damn near impossible because of humidity.

@Pandorasdad

My buddy Bechara introduced me to the Boston Pedigree books way back in 2001-2002.
Those Boston books had snow white pages man. They were sweet. Same with the Northland & White Mountain books I had.
All from the North and all white pages.

Absolutely epic to even see a photo of one of those books.

BTW, I happened to pick up an Eldon book you graded last week.

I have been on a mission to try to get one book from each of the recognized pedigrees. I will probably never get one of the SF books though. Thats outta my league.

Thanks Steve, I hope it passed the grade screen. I thought it would, but then I'm not the expert.

I may be in the minority on this one, @sborock, but I can just never get past Iron Man damn near doing the splits when I look at that cover. 😄

Beautiful copy! The rich colours make it tough to find in high grade. Let's not even mention the dreadful state of my own copy...

I recently submitted my copy of Iron Man #1 to CBCS for grading. Sadly, my copy will never be mistaken for the beautiful copy that Steve posted.

@sborock

Wow, some gorgeous deep inks on that Iron Man #1! Speaking of ink, does a color-touched book get an extra grade reduction because the marker was applied for color-touch, or is the grade based solely on the presence of marker? Said differently, is a designation of "Restored" determined independently of the grade, similar to the way a checkmark is applied?

Thanks!
