@SpiderTim I have had this book for years pic is old sorry a little grainy, but a beautiful copy. Never got it graded, yet, because I'm not excited about DC, but someday soon it will go in for grading.

Hey! I have that Avengers Annual in a 9.2.

Great art and story. Now we can debate all day long about whether it's meaningful because all the characters who died in that issue came back, but still a good read with good art.

What are the "tells" on that big apple copy steve, what Marks or writing does it have that tell you...or is it just because you know the previous history of the copy or something?

1st off I have owned many Big Apple books, so it's kind of 2nd nature to me. The pencil mark and smell are the real giveaway.

I'm thinking they must smell like apples.

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
@Jesse_O that would make sense, because there isn't a single apple on that comic.

Had a friend who would often open books he was considering buying..if it did not have the right...smell, he wouldnt buy. He swore he could tell you what year a book was printed by how the interior smelled, but I was always a touch skeptical

That does sound a little farfetched. Of course if he is sniffing the first page, he can read the date at the bottom of the page.
