One of my all time favorite Cap covers in high grade.

@sborock Classic cover. Love Steranko's Hulk.

Also from the days when Cap was making Rick Jones dress up as Bucky, which in retrospect should have made everyone very, very uncomfortable.

@sborock That's one of my all time favorite Cap covers as well. And no captions or dialogue to ruin a beautiful Steranko cover.

Do you wear gloves or anything when grading books? I'd be crapping my pants if I had to handle an Action Comics #1....

@the420bandito I wear gloves for certain books only. Grading low grade I never wear gloves.

I've heard that the original cover was somewhat different and that they enlisted Marie Severin to redraw a portion of it. The hand reaching out from behind the wall, I believe.

Wow!!! That would be 2 Steranko Hulk covers she made changes to!! Kind of like the original Hulk Giant 1 by Steranko (was able to get a few copies of the Uk reprint with the un touchedup art)

@Jesse_O Newton comics cool.
If it was a Murray comic it would be all black and white inside 👍

I can't help it. I've been a reporter and I've been a private detective.

I've seen a lot of weird and ugly - and a whole lot of weird ugliness.

I can't stop myself from seeing it, even when it's obviously not there. The Rick Jones/Bucky thing is just good material for a joke.

If I remember correctly it was the Seduction of the Innocent book that brought up the odd nature of the Batman and Robin relationship. Wealthy bachelor running around in tights and costumes takes in young orphan boy to live with him and join him in the tights and costumes exploits.

If CGC slabbed it, you could have newton rings on your Newton comic.

Always loved this cover. Nice high grade copy and the silver ink on the top corner is pretty cool as well.

I own some original art from Picture Stories from World History. I love these early EC's.

@sborock Don't think I've ever seen that book before! I believe this comic should win an award for "most difficult to locate issue number and price tag".
