Never was much of a DC or Batman fan, but even I'm jealous of that book. The owner needs to step up and identify themself immediately so we can all applaud and throw popcorn at them.

I’d love for my collection to be identified that way (Batman 10 - current and Detective 77 to current are my largest runs) but I am not the original owner…just a schmo who’s been lucky over the last 33 years!

Chuck Rozanski from Mile High is in Upper New York loading up a 53' semi trailer with comic books, action figures and toys today. Yesterday, he bought a collection that was from three generations of collectors. When the grandfather and father passed away, the grandson decided to sell. This collection took up 8 rooms and a basement of a commercial building. There are over 900 long boxes and he estimates over 300,000 comics. He's putting the better stuff in his van. He hopes they can fit it all on one trailer. These are just some of the pictures.

There's a reason that one's an ex.

That seems to be a thing with old comic shops. Store just closed here with one of those as well.

It amazes me how Mile High keeps getting good books. They pay pennies-to-the-dollar for books and then grossly over-grade and over-charge for what they sell. I just don't get it.

@Byrdibyrd on the other hand, if you had half a building worth of stuff and just want it gone, how many buyers are there?

This is true, but if it were me I'd shop around a little. As long as there's internet access, there's no reason not to.

Yeah, I'm on Chuck's (Mile Highs) email thing and it's pretty much always entertaining. Groan worthy sometimes, but always entertaining. There were a couple of things about this collection I think worth redirecting or mentioning.

Chuck said there were three generations of collectibles here - but that he DID NOT purchase the grandfathers books.

Chuck also mentioned that he made a single purchase of the books. If you been reading his missives regularly or watched any of the videos, this is significant. He buys a lot of large collections, but he puts money down and signs a contract to make payments on the balance. This allows sales of the books to pay for the collections. He says he does this to stay out of debt with the banks. But his wording indicates this collection was cash up front. Paid for all at once.

His email on the collection said he "purchase everything in the entire building for a single (very substantial) six-figure price". If the collection if anywhere nice as he says six figures is for sure a great deal for Mile High.

If you think that's funny, just imagine what would happen if they'd sent it in to the other guys.
