Ok peeps, here it comes. First off, know that I have no problem sending in CGC slabs for press & grade into CBCS. Not primarily because I am trying to get a grade bump, but because I really prefer CBCS over CGC. That said, I just acquired the above referenced comic. For those that haven't seen before, this is one beefy @$$ slab. Anyway though this is for my personal collection, one never knows what the future may bring. As it was obvious to me when buying, this book would benefit from a Press, but wasn't my intention. That said, what say you CBCS Vets & dealers, would you press and grade to Red Label CBCS or hold as a 9.0 Witnessed Sig (black widow). For those who do not know Halo, it is primarily an Aussie grading service founded in 2014. The Founder, I believe, is the only non US or Canadian contributor to Overstreet. By the way, the pics below are of slab inside a plastic bag.    |

| I’d personally have it pressed & regraded because the Halo label is too busy & detracts from the eye appeal of the book. Again, just my personal preference and reasoning. |

| Keep it as a halo witness not a cbcs verification because it may not pass verification then you would have a blue label and could come back lower. | ||

| @Scifinator since this is for your own personal collection I'd keep it in the Halo slab. The signature witness at the time was Grant a overstreet advisor and owner of Halo. Also that book is sealed inside a Gerber myler inside the slab so for long term storage and preservation it is perfect. If you ever think of selling then I'd highly recommend you send to cbcs for signature verification and grading. Especially if selling in the United States market to give you the most chance of a good price as Halo is not known in the states. Side note. The spider on the label is an Australian red back spider. |

| @southerncross Thanks for the spider education. That makes sense now. I was/am pretty much inline with your thoughts on the press and regrade as I pretty much figured it was witnessed and probably graded by Grant back then. The only way I come to sell this is dire need or hopefully the more likely scenario I acguire a Higher grade CBCS Yellow Stan Lee. This was always a book I coveted at the comic shop as a youth. I had tears when that comic shop was broken into and that was one of the books stolen off the wall. |
