He had to throw out the "hates women" BS, claim that I was posting politics, and was reporting EVERY POST I submitted (for weeks). He publicly admitted to trying to get me banned.

Despite all of this, there are PLENTY of users who are great to interact with over there, who do have a sense of humor. The sheer amount of collected knowledge is overwhelming. I just joined here, so I can't really gauge the differences, but I'll stick around and see what it's like.

Totally agree. There is a "Good ol' boy" mentality over there. Full disclosure, my name over there is mec3437. I made the account years ago, then forgot about it until recently. I should change my name over there. There are some knowledgable and friendly people over there for sure. Buzz, Kav, Get Marwood, Adamantium, Pontoon, etc. I've found the drama lies in the General section, and I try to avoid that but Marwood's Marvel pence thread is there, so I inevitably get sucked into reading some of the threads.

I got the same attack here, but it didn't last long. It really isn't a problem until someone starts following you around to initiate confrontation intentionally.

Yes... the CGC board has cliques. That is how the hostility perpetuates. They swarm like a hive of bees if one person has a problem with you. You can't have a radically different opinion or perspective or you are the enemy. You have to be like them and think like them.

That was my theory all along, but I had no proof.

Someone here mentioned there was a robust conversation at CGC on the Detective 359 thing, so I decided to check it out. While perusing the thread I saw that a guy named RockMyAmadeus had quoted something I said here, and then interpreted it there to mean I was unethical, and then called me unethical for saying what he imagined I said. So I called him out on it.

He came back with a thousand individual objections, with ... well, you know how he is, right? You tell him he's beating a dead horse and he'll say, "First of all, I never said it was a horse-the-animal, you just jumped to that conclusion, because "horse" actually has 17 different meanings and sub-meanings depending on the context, and I could have easily been referring to the basketball game, because you have ABSOLUTELY NO WAY of knowing that I wasn't; and besides that the word "beating" is derogatory and defamatory with negative connotations and not even CLOSE to what I was actually doing, which was just using a stick to vigorously hit the side of a large animal that was laying there, in the middle of the road and not moving, not to mention that we're not even sure it's an animal, and you have no proof that it was dead."

Anyway, it struck a chord. I came back over here and looked through the "banned" list, and Eureka! I figured out who he sounded like: DocBrown returneth! He's not only up to the same tricks over there, but is also apparently lurking over here.

I will say one thing in defense of DocBrown, though, and that is: I think it was HILARIOUS that he donated $5 to the GoFundMe campaign of $5 to buy graders notes for the Detective 359.
