Guys, after putting together clues from the comics and recent news regarding the plot of the new Joker movie leaves me to believe that everything about Batman is not what it seems. Continue to read only if you don't mind spoilers from the upcoming Joker Movie. The "supposed" movie/story leak from the movie Joker has a very interesting plot twist. It describes Penny, Arthur’s mom (Arthur being the Joker), worked as a housekeeper for the Wayne family for 12 years. She’s been trying to get in contact with her old employer, but he’s not acknowledging her letters. She tells Arthur that she had an affair with Thomas Wayne during the twelve years she worked for Thomas and Arthur is Wayne’s illegitimate son and Bruce’s half-brother. This is very interesting. Another interesting theory is that Alfred is really Bruce Wayne's biological father. Reason I'm even considering this is because issue #2 in DCeased, Bruce turns into an infected and Alfred kills him but before doing so, Alfred calls him son. Normally he's always called him Master Bruce or Sir. If this is indeed true, then by going from the Joker movie's plot, and addressing the "Son" comment from DCeased #2, then it would appear that Bruce had been living Arthur's rightful life all this time. Maybe im just looking too much into this but it makes for an interesting topic of discussion. What do you guys think if this is all true? |

I think you are reading too much into the Alfred scene. I feel that Alfred does consider Bruce his son. He raised him, looked after him, helped him with his crusade, patched him up, nursed him back from near death, lied for him, etc. I don't think there is a biological connection there, just an emotional one. As you point out, he normally calls Bruce, Master Wayne or Sir. I don't think someone that proper, would have an affair with his employer. But I could be wrong. And I thought the Joker movie was not canon, just a one off. |

@KYoung_1974 thanks for the reply and thoughts. Since Alfred does, indeed have a strong relationship/bond with Bruce, then the final words you speak to someone you care about, you probably wouldn't be using slang terms or titles but more so of something that you've always wanted to say to them or revealing something that's been weighing heavily on your mind, or something in those terms, IMO. But I can see what you're saying, he emotionally feels like a father to him so in the last moments of Bruce's life, those words were Alfred's last "heart felt" farewell. As for if the Joker movie will be made canon, this I don't know about or heard anything in regards to it. |

@GanaSoth Not related to the movie but the Telltale Batman game had an interesting take on the Batman mythos. Early on it’s revealed that Thomas Wayne had criminal ties so Bruce has to wrestle with the fact that the wealth he uses to fight crime was in part built up through criminal means. In addition, via those same ties, Thomas Wayne was responsible for the downfall of the Cobbelpot family, so Bruce essentially gained his fortune at the expense of the Cobbelpots, leading to Oswald becoming a villain later on. It’s not canon of course but it is an interesting scenario to play through and I definitely recommend it. It’s available on mobile devices and is more of an interactive movie where you can make different choices which changes the course of the story a little bit so even if you’re not really into video games you may still enjoy it |

Completely plausible! The wife has a headache, you've got a hot looking maid... why not? Robin Williams and Arnold Schwarzenegger did! And in today's PC society and "Me Too" movement, maybe Martha was feeling lonely one night when Thomas was working late. "Oh Alfred, would you mind drawing me a bath?" | ||

Not surprising in today's adult oriented dramatization of supporting cast of characters. Many years after the death of Gwen Stacy, it was discovered that she (in an emotional state of weakness) allowed Norman Osbourne to tap her booty. I can't remember who wrote this ASM story, but he should be beaten with a tire iron and thrown off a tall building. |
