Ah tape. The death of comics.
Tape pulls really hurt the grade.

I bought a meat grinder on amazon for $60 and it's changed my life. kaptainmyke private msg quote post Address this user
Tape pull. Looks like a 3.0-4.0 range based off other defects in the photo, and other defects not visible.

It's a process, so don't feel too bad. It took me quite a while to get a handle on grading, but I've become much more confident in my assessments over the past few years.

This is what I roll with for any of my books of value. More expensive than tape but much more safe for the books.

Remember, grading is an opinion and not an exact science. Without seeing the back cover and if this book didn’t have a tape pull, it would probably fall in the 5.0 to 6.0 range. Unfortunately the tape pull will probably cost at least a point or more deduction from that.

Maybe a stupid question, but is there a way I can restored it so it look more appealing, or does any kind of restoration is considered an alteration that make the comic worthless?

@Beney117 don't do anything to it. It will pretty much render it worthless.

@Beney117 - Any attempt at “fixing” it would take away roughly half of its current value.

I remove scotch tape from bags like a fanatic, and use post it tabs. Before I ever take any book out that I have bought
