QUESTION ABOUT COMIC CONNECT AUCTION9473

Collector martymann private msg quote post Address this user
Could anyone tell me what the CGC 4.5 copy of DETECTIVE #168
sold for at the June 12th Comic Connect auction? The last bid
I saw was on June 8th for $10,422.00.

Thank you...might be the right time to sell my remainder copy
if there is any interest.

@martymann - I am sure there would be interest. Your best bet for a good price would be at another high profile auction.

You'd probably get just north of $3K for it, maybe a bit more on the right day. Looks great except for that missing chunk at the top!

Thank you!...will check with ComicConnect to see if they
would have any interest in listing it.

It's been recommended that I have it encapsulated...

Good advice. Definitely get it graded before sending to an auction.

I haven't used it, but you can send directly to comiclink and they'll get it graded for you basically at membership rate then do the auction http://comiclink.com/service_text.asp?393

@xkonk ...Thank you!...COMICCONNECT has offered to do the same.

Depending on the commission rate they are offering you can also consider mycomicshop if you're considering consignment instead of auction. They charge 6% for anything that's sold for $3000 or more. I'm not sure how the auction is at mycomicshop, I think you'd have more eyes on your item at comicconnect or comiclink if you're selling it at auction.

Still can't decide which one to choose but I believe it will
be in a November auction either way.
