I just received a new slabbed book. While running my fingertips over the front and back, looking for scratches, I noticed some residue on the outside of the slab. I tried whipping it down with a microfiber cloth but it didn't help. I have some Tends anti-static plastic cleaner that I've used on animation cels I was thinking about trying that. Any experience with cleaning the slabs? Do's or Dont's? Thank You |

While I appreciate everyone's time, are there any helpful suggestions?

Use a microfibre cloth, don't use any kind of we spray. That's way too risky. A microfibre cloth will get rid of any of the fingerprints e.c.t.

Sorry, guy. The only "helpful" suggestion I can give is to go to the automotive parts store and get a headlight reconditioning kit for polishing the "haze" out of plastic headlights. |

Could it be residue from a label or sticker that was poorly cleaned after it was removed?

Try alcohol wipes, like for first aid use, they cut through almost any grime and adhesive and the liquid evaporates almost instantly.

Get some isopropyl alcohol from walmart and a microfiber cloth. If its a residue the alcohol should take it off no problem.
