I cropped down a modeling shot of my GF and persuaded Neal Adams to draw a sketch of her.

This wasn't done specifically for me, but it's a preliminary watercolor sketch by Olivia.

The final painting was used as the cover image on the Dragon Con program book.

The piece is signed by the artist and model which I'm told is rare because it's unusual for them both to be present at the same place. Olivia has photographs taken of her models and works from photographs. Olivia signed it twice because she wasn't happy with the first attempt. Her vision is not as good as it used to be (per her own words).

Olivia, the day she signed it.

Here is model Sandra Taylor signing it.

Sandra is evidently one of Donald Trump's formers lover based upon an online article. I guess that gives me 2 degrees of separation from the president and I have 3 degrees of separation from N. Korea's leader through 2 people.

Bob Burden sketch..

Bob and I evidently had a lot of the same friends dating back to the 70's, but I never met him until about 1994. My friends would mention him and say he'd just visited them, and I didn't know who they were talking about. Eventually, we did meet and I run into him periodically around town. Usually at odd times like a trip to a computer store or stopping at a restaurant.

The sketch is in this book, but it's not the signed version he was selling.

I also bought this framed Flaming Carrot sketch at a later point that his friend/collaborator Roxanne Starr was selling. Bob was with her when I bought it.

Roxanne Starr worked with a lot of industry professionals. She sold me this framed Kevin Eastman sketch.

I thought about buying an Eddie Campbell sketch, but I'm less familiar with his work.

Here's a backing board sketch the Joe Linsner drew for me. He was pumping these out at a store signing, so it's probably a fairly common Dawn sketch that he does. I scanned it with a comic bag on it, so that wavy appearance isn't water damage.

Preliminary cover sketch to Wild Stars #5 by Frank Brunner. Again, not drawn specifically for me.

The final comic..

Steve Lieber was probably bored. He drew me this free notebook sketch at Heroes Con one year. Nice guy, but I honestly wasn't familiar with his work.

Fastner and Larson are evidently commissioned for paintings a lot. Rich Larson draws one sketch in black pencils. He draws a second image in black and blue pencils to give Steve Fastner some shading reference. Fastner then paints the image based upon the 2nd sketch in the process. There are two sketches to sell after the painting is sold. Here is a 2nd sketch in the process that I bought from Rich Larson. The painting was sold to a guy in Tennessee if I recall correctly. I need to get a better scan. Joe Sinnott saw it online and offered to ink it for me. I was tight on funds at the time, so I turned him down. We never discussed a price at all. I didn't think he was going to do it for free, but he was willing to do a lightbox inking so that I could keep the original pencils.

Here is the 1st sketch in the process from another commissioned painting.

Georges Jeanty is another artist I run into from time to time around town.

We discussed him drawing a sketch for me on one of his sketchbooks for over a year, but it finally happened on the 4th one. I've bought some of his DEFIANT comics at in bulk so I've known him for awhile now.

I'm pretty sure his signature is also in this art book that I own. I bought it at a comic shop that is/was(?) nearby Revolver Studios. This was signed by all the studio artists and he told me only about 10 were made.

I own one cover that he drew.
