I think this counts like a what if because it’s in the past

Is this the new, old Cyclops, the old Cyclops, or the old, new Cyclops?

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
Since this thread already contains spoilers, who are the other heroes killed in this issue?

Yeah I thought he just came back and wasnt bad anymore or from the past...or the future past...or the past future. I'm so fu*$ing lost on current xmen comics. I tapped out finally at the gold/blue reboot. It sucks too because uncanny xmen was my first superhero comic I ever bought...they were my favorite

@Enelson They were one of my favorites too. But then there were so many X-books written by so many different people with so many different timelines and dimensions it started to feel like work trying to keep up with what was going on. Promising plot threads were abandoned and the pages became crowded with more and more new characters, each with a tormented and mysterious past, each constantly hovering on the anti-hero edge. It was exhausting.

There is roughly 0 chance that Cyclops was killed in any meaningful way in a non-X book where the storyline is set in the past.

If anyone was actually interested in jumping back in on X-Men, the Uncanny reboot that started last year is fairly clean. The first ten issues do a fairly standard Alternate X Dimension set-up for the current Age of X-Man stuff, but you don't have to read a single one of the spin-offs if you don't want to. Or you can start with the annual where they brought back Cyclops and then read from Uncanny 11 on, just understanding that a bunch of mutants are missing because of the X-Man stuff. But no crossovers or weird character shifts, just your normal "So, you're back from the dead, huh? Turns out humans still hate us" stuff that has been happening for decades.

And if you aren't down for *that*, they're cancelling all the series later this year and starting the storyline over for all the X folks with the Powers of X/ House of X thing that Hickman is doing. So that should be a good jumping-on point.

I like Hickman...sometimes the stories take a little too long to play out though...going to get his X books on my pull list and see what the pacing is like

Everyone knows Marvel Super heroes don't ever really die.

So I've been holding off on watching endgame because of possible bad news. Am I just worried about nothing?

I saw on ebay that people are listing it as 'first appearance of Wolverine's daughter'. Midtown and MCS are sold out, so I went by my local store, and it's also sold out. When my LCS has sold out I know the speculators are in full effect. This thread has now merged with the "grinds my gears" thread for me.

@Bronte..

It has nothing to do with any current movie plots. Its just an old adage of the comic book industry. Super heroes/Villains die one day and many simply get resurrected with an alternative script when the right time comes.

No originality here, just modern junk rehashing the age-old "Death" Ploy

I just removed this comic from the mycomicshop bag/board to transfer to a mylite and it is immortal hulk all over again. Nice ink transfer to the back of the comic to the board. Black covers and Marvel's terrible quality control are not a good combination. Any guess how much some back cover ink transfer would affect the grade? I would take the comic out and take a picture but I am afraid I would lose more color from the back

@moodswing that sucks. Is the ink still on the "Mycomicshop" board and does it look like dirt on the board or can you actually tell it's ink? Im just wondering how it looks. And yeah, with ink rubbing, it hurts the grade.

@moodswing thanks for the pic. I would shoot them an email telling then about the rubbing/ink transfer, but put the blame on them for using a backing board that looks like it has some kind of waxy coating. (At least that's how the flash from your phone caught it in the picture.) It the backing board smooth? Does it have a weird texture to the touch?

It is smooth. Apparently this is a common issue with the comic.

Good ‘ol Marvel Rub. This is why I do not order marvel comics from online shops anymore....they all arrive like this now...

Here is my thread(s)....been complaining about this for several months....now I double bag my books such that the comic is places in a modern.bag, then again inside a silver age bag with a silver age board.

If you flip the board over to the non-shiny side touches the comic it might help...haven’t experimented with it yet though.

Couple people who have the comic all have this issue. One guy got a 9.4 from cgc. Absolutely ridiculous that marvel can't prevent this.
