| Hello, I’ve received the following books as a birthday gift from my wife. I’m new to this grading and pressing. Will these books benefit from a press? Unfortunately the grading notes from CGC are listed as coming soon.     |

| @DarthHam May be wise to wait for the grader’s notes. The grader’s had these books in hand. Very difficult to assess from pictures. |

| always good to look at them horizontally with light source from like the hall or something (i.e. crack the door to let the light in) to see if you can pick up any bends or indentations on the covers. If any exist a press will likely help a bit? | ||

| @DarthHam Graders notes are available but you have to purchase them. Also CGC graders note might not be too valuable as they typically are very short. Given they are from your wife - why not just enjoy them! |

| @poka Yep and typically on books 9.4/9.6/9.8 there wont be graders notes unless the deductions came from interior pages. If all flaws are visible they typically wont note on high grades | ||

| @poka @esaravo Thanks! Oh I’ve enjoyed them and showing them off to family that calls or comes by to say happy birthday. Yes she’s amazing and she actually pushes me to buy comics. I tend to be frugal when it comes to spending on comics | ||

| Nothing is better than an in-hand examination by someone with experience with the grading companies. Pictures minimize many defects and exaggerate some. Graders notes are nothing more than what the graders felt like taking the time to write down. To me, both look to be good pressing candidates. Since at 9.0 the ASM seems graded rather low based on the pictures, I pulled the grading notes. (You are welcome) "multiple bend spine". Crack, Press & resubmit (CPR) them. I think you'll be happy with the results. Just use someone that knows what they are doing for a press. Not someone that knows someone that lives nearby that has a press. |

| The 9.0 could be bumped up to a 9.4. The 9.4 could be bumped up to a 9.6. Maybe. Hard to tell in those photos. Need to see angular lighting photos. |

And that’s really hard to tell just looking through the plastic, and nearly impossible to tell from just a photograph taken at one angle of lighting. And if you’re thinking if sending the book to cbcs than id say the odds of a grade reduction are as good as a grade hike even after a press. There’s a reason I prefer to buy cbcs grades books and sell cgc graded books given the same number grade... I say stick with what you have until you’re ready to sell and it’s with a $50 investment per book. |

| Question, I have a few books in cracked CGC slabs, and one in a PGX slab that I want CBCS to reslab. Do I send the whole slab in as is, or do I submit them cracked out of their slab with the label? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

| CBCS won't reslab another company's books, so you'll have to have them regraded. You can send them in the current slab without adding anything to the cost though; they'll crack them out for you. | ||
