Just a little shout out to CBCS if I may.
This morning received a Return Request from Ebay for a CGC slab with reasoning being "Comic is damaged within the slab; it is sticking inside the holder".
So I look at the pictures of the "defect" and it is Newton Rings! This guy thinks that the comic is actually sticking to the top of the slab and thus is damaged (manifested by the Newton ring illusion of the comic sticking to the front plastic).
Aye Aye Aye.
Ebay already approved the return.
I've never had a CBCS graded comic ever returned to me.
I guess outside the CGC / CBCS forums is the general populace aware of Newton rings? Apparently not everyone. Oh well.

E bay would do well to have some sort of specialist that looks at all the graded comic returns.

It seems clear to me that they are using essentially minimum wage customer service representatives, who are more than happy to create lose/lose situations, as long as ebay gets its cut of the sale.

I have adjusted my returns to include a 20% restock free, explained as 10% to cover Ebay, 5% for paypal and 5% for the shipping that they inevitably force me to pay, even though it says that the buyer pays for shipping on my sales.

Definitely got to CYA on ebay sales.

That kinda sucks whoever bought it shouldn't be buying graded comics than but eBay is full of so many fools I have had 1 ask me if the slab is in flawless condition no scuffs scratches or marks anywhere on it which is nuts also

I have had both CBCS slabs (due to the mold marks in the side) as well as CGC slabs (due to newton rings) returned.

From an ebay perspective, ebay only takes into account what is stated in the listing. Any references to websites etc will be disregarded by ebay when forming any kind of decisions

When I relist, the listing will definitely include the presence of Newton Rings and that the comic is not sticking to the plastic. (and all future listings). Live and learn is all one can do

WHen I post an auction I make certain to mention the newton's rings and get a pic of them on the sale. Just another reason to make sure every possible complaint someone could have is explicit in the auction.

It’s impossible to cover every return scenario in an eBay listing description. If a buyer is determined to return, almost any excuse will get eBay’s approval.

You can slide a 2" strip of backer board inside the case to push out the newton ring effect. Fixes it easily. You just can't go pushing on the case again or it will happen again.
