Another eBay seller bordering on inSaNitY!!?9053

Check out this link to see what this seller is asking for FF #236 CGC 9.8. And on top of the outlandish "Buy it Now" price he also expects $21.65 for shipping!!

It is not hard to find a copy of FF #236 in 9.8 and nothing special about this CGC copy...not signed by Byrne, Kirby or Stan Lee.

Gpa shows the book moving at around 150 in CGC 9.8 Hopefully seller understands when you post at roughly double guide with make an offer option most of the offers you will get will come in far below your asking at maybe half at best or lower....

@brysb I see your FF and raise you this 90s Catwoman. It’s a $1 book on its best day and this isn’t even a 9.0 (much less a 9.8). It’s got a DF CoA but it’s not a special cover or anything, just signed but not by anyone especially in-demand.

At least they’re offering free shipping

I was looking on eBay earlier for an upgrade to FF #227 (NM range 9.4) and came across this...clickable text

Is there a market for comics slabbed when they are in lower grade and can be normally found in a dollar bin??

Not that I’m aware of. I know CGC registry may drive some sales for some less in-demand books as users try to complete sets but I’d expect that for a dollar bin slabbed 9.8

I know sometimes people who inherit or are given a large collection get an unrealistic idea that its all worth a fortune and must all be slabbed and sell for gazillions...sadly they spend busloads for grading and slabbing and the reality is what you are viewing

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user

It is only about $8 per character appearing on the cover.

You know, I wish they’d at least try to sell their product in the description. Instead they’re mostly super sterile like the book’s value is innate and obvious to all who see it.

$777 for a True Believers reprint is ludicrous. Also like @Darkseid_of_town noted about GPA is true. A 9.8 of FF 227 sold for $130 exactly 1 year ago today according to gocollect. It has no other sales since. Meaning the book has no/little demand.

Yeah, I am picky, want to upgrade my #227 because there is one single spine stress mark, otherwise my copy is pretty, but...I prefer a solid 9.4/9.6. but yes, little to no great demand for this particular issue. I would not spend 2 cents for a 4.5 CGC copy!
