Hi all,

Anyone in the Philadelphia area that is interested in purchasing a small amount of comics for pickup only?

Long story really short, a family friend passed and his sister asked to unload the house. He was a “serious Star Wars & Star Trek” memorabilia collector with a small liking to comics throughout the years.

I’ve gone through the boxes quickly and I’m not an Ebayer for selling or a dealer. Quick pics of the last box I just cleaned out. Nearly nothing is bagged/board, all raw. Also, a good amount of StarLog magazines from the beginning as well as other SCI FI things.

The dog is not included.....

I bagged and boarded some of the books. Posted images of most older stuff. Looking for $1500 for everything.

Too bad the JIM #84 is missing the bottom right corner of the cover. It's still worth about $300+

There is also a large stack of Conan Magazines from 70’s and early 80’s that is included in this, as well as a few Marvel Preview issues (#4 is one of them)

Update:

Gone through the last 2 boxes and here is what was left.

The Brave and the Bold 34’s top staple is detached from the cover. Bottom staple is holding for its life.

SS 4 looks great as is, but a cleaning and press if your into that and you have a real clean book. Closer pics:

Sorry for the loss, and it's a very impressive collection. Hopefully someone locally can buy these and help out your family's friend.

Sorry you haven't been able to sell these. I'm like 20 hours away or I'd probably go for it.

Would definitely take it if I could - the drive's just too much. If you change your mind on shipping, let me know.

in Kansas so notmuch of an option for me, but if and when you get to the part where it has to be parceled out, I would be up for some of the silver books as I am sure most would

I'm close enough to Philly but can't lay out that kind of money right now :-( If you end up stuck with it for a bit, keep us posted.

Just an idea but perhaps you could price up the silver age materials, and get your price from the more solid books and then sell the rest as bonus gravy to whoever ,. as you chose. I cannot tell from the images, but I am guessing if you made a listing of grades, prices and such you could easily sort out 1300 or 1400 dollars worth, sell those right here and do what you like with the remaining.....
