Can someone help me out here? Take a look at this invoice, it just updated this morning so I was excited to see that my books (which have been sitting at CBCS since September of last year) got some progress. Excited, and then quickly confused and angry. The Bartman vs Radioactive Man Ashcan is now categorized as \"2-Day Modern\"...I NEVER ASKED FOR 2-DAY SERVICE ON THIS BOOK. Not to mention, the price for grading/slabbing is now $40 and the Fast Press is now $50?!?!? WTF?!? I would NEVER have paid that much for either!! Why the sudden upgrade/forced upsell, CBCS? I waited patiently for these books to get done, and this is what I get for waiting? Now I have to pay 54 extra freaking dollars for a service I never asked for?! Goodbye CBCS! rnrn19-367D658 Cost $120.00 Fees ($4.00) S&H $34.00 Total $150.00 Payments $96.00 Balance $54.00 Sep 28, 2019 Pay Balance Received Total: $90.00 2-Day Modern Return shipping: FedEx Ground Bartman and Radioactive Man Ashcan #1 [1994] Bongo, Modern Age Processing tier: $40.00 Fast Pressing: $50.00 x1 $90.00

@KMiracleman Could be a mistake, I just had one with mine (which was corrected). Send customer service an email and ask. The only reason they would bump you up would be if the comic is worth more than you listed it.

If only it were that easy; sent two emails to DarrylH and no response. Also sent two emails to customerservice@CBCS and no response.

I have an order on 51 days with no pressing or VSP or anything that would make it take any longer than any other submission.

@Darryl_H can you help? Order 20-14BB5AE

I sent an email to customer service 4 days ago (on the 29th) inquiring about the hold up but no reply as of yet.

Still no update for Canadians almost a month after my last inquiry.

The Canadian site STILL hasn't been updated with any new messaging, and still says 'closed until May 15th'. This is unacceptable. I run the social channels for several closed clients in Ontario, and even they insist on putting out occasional messages on the current status - it's about showing you are at least being on top of things and watching the situation, even if nothing has changed.

Be still my beating heart - my books moved to "grading" after only 39 weeks! Hopefully the VSP and grading will be prompt.

I hear ya man, I've been waiting for my books since Aug 16, 2019. CGC is still pumping out books. I emailed Steve Paulus a few days ago. He hasn't replied back. This is unacceptable. Ontario began Phase 1 on May 19th. @stevepaulus, take the necessary COVID precautions with your employees and start shipping out books already.

As I wade through all these posts I just have a simple question.

If I purchase a membership, and send my books for "2 Day Modern" Grading, it will take months for that 2 day turnaround?

@jvasilatos No. It might take a week or so when you add in the mailing time but as long as you aren't getting it pressed or having signatures verified you'll get it back very quickly.

Xkonk thanks for that. No sigs or pressings. Just went through 12 boxes of books stored since the mid-90's and found some keys I bagged and never opened that I think may be 9.6 - 9.8 quality so I was hoping to get them graded to sell or auction!

I'm a bit disappointed they couldn't verify the Jack Kirby sig on the Marvel Double Feature #1, but I'm thrilled with the House of Secrets #92 pressing to 5.5, and the Tomb of Dracula #10 pressed to a 4.0

LOL - Of course, you just got the same In Shipping Friday curse that I usually get. Now, you wait all weekend for Monday, click back in several times throughout Monday, Tuesday, etc seeing if you can glimpse the grades prior to the "Shipped" email.

So far, this cheat has enabled me to see grades three times before the official notification. Out of about 2 dozen shipments, so, doesn't usually work.

No, it was a mid 1970's book signed on the splash like he always did, and the sig looked authentic to me from exemplars. Plus, why would anyone forge the King's autograph on what was a dollar book when i bought it?

@jvasilatos Please get pretty much all of those books professionally pressed before you have them slabbed. Or at the very least, press screened. I can promise you from experience, those 9.4 and 9.6 grades on unpressed but well-preserved books will leave you wondering forever "what if"? If just one of the right books moves up to 9.8 it will make it all worthwhile.

I have a submission of 28 books I sent back in July 2019. All books have pressing. Currently no movement. Still received. I don’t even want to think about my October submission 😢 I know I didn’t submit all the same services or tiers but a whole year will have passed next month.

3 consumer (2 VSP)
4 Expanded
19 Modern (7 VSP)
2 Quickstream

Question about Verified Signature, If the signature fails and you chose not to have it graded without verification, do you typically get notification of the failed verification before the rest of the submission goes to grading? My books are in grading now and I'm still being charged for the slabbing of this particular book, so I'm hoping that no news is good news?

I'm in the same boat. My submission was received on Aug 16, 2019. Here's what I know to date. I emailed Steve Paulus over a week ago for an update on Oakville's opening. No response. I emailed Steve Borock a few days ago. He said he hopes the border opens on June 22. I replied back "can you explain what the border opening has to do with the Oakville office?" No response. So, with that in mind, one can only assume that Steve Paulus is waiting for the border to open so he can come back to Canada and run the Oakville office. BUT, if that assumption is correct, don't they have any employees living in Canada that can run the shop? I suggest taking your frustrations online on their Instagram and Facebook posts. It's not right to take money from people and make us wait this long. We have a right to be frustrated. Look at CGC... business as usual. That's even more frustrating to see.
