So is anyone from CBCS going to offer some sort of update for us Canadians? Literally the only messaging I see about this is the default COVID popup on the CAN site that just has the 'closed until at least ____' date line that is occasionally updated to bump the date up another week or so - no other official messaging or discussion about solutions (curb side pickup from the facility for example).

Please remember Canada is something we cannot control and are trying to update as soon as we know something.

My order, officially received last Monday, Is now “Completed” and waiting to ship! About a week and a half; all blue labels, no fast pass.

Now the unbearable wait for the grades to post!

@starlord What happens to me a lot is that the order will complete late on Friday so I have to wait ALL weekend before they ship and I can see the grades

I still don't understand the system (if any) for the submitted books coming in and going out.
For example on the standard grading no fast pass or any extras. Your 4 books were received and will be completed in two weeks yet my order of 6 books (standard modern grading no extras) is at 3 weeks and still in processing / grading??

Coming off of a disappointing first time ever submission late last year this is making me think twice about using them again.


No invoices are given priority unless they are Priority tiers such as 2-day Moderns for example.

We pull orders looking at the due date only, but depending on the workflow between production workers, someone's due out Date of 5/27/20 can hit shipping before a due out Date of sat 5/20/20 simply due to the workflow. This doesn't mean the earlier order was passed up in favor of another one, just that the production worker handling your order might have had issues with the order before that slowed them down. It can be several factors that play a part in the overall operations.

Keep in mind that CBCS production was closed or operating at anything other than full capacity for almost the entire month of April, and many of us didn't get back to work until last week / this week due to the restrictions. That said it does not appear that any of these orders are late yet, and you should see some movement this week.

My books shipped today. A little disappointed with the grades but This order was mostly to try out a new presser since CBCS and the guy I normally use were really backed up. I’ll probably resubmit one of them later

Now I'm just waiting on the FedEx email with tracking so I can see the grades...

@Paint_Monk - Still waiting on my current batch. And for some reason, for the last year or longer, I will get the email from CBCS that my books are ready to ship, then nothing - no shipped email. So I have to wait for the text from FedEx saying that my package will be delivered tomorrow, the one that says make sure someone is home to sign (do they still require that?). It would be really nice to know the shipping information when the books are shipped.

@esaravo I recommend registering an account with FedEx and getting the App. It doesn’t cost anything but whenever a package is sent to your address via FedEx, it will automatically be added to the app and tracked automatically.

Thanks - but Steve hasn't replied to my email I sent on May 2. That was the point of my inquiry - CBCS messaging is lacking for Canadians looking for updates since they cannot rely on the main website and either have to rely on the forums (not ideal)

Does anyone know the typical time it takes for a complete graded order to be mailed back to the customer after it arrives at the facility?

I have 1 out for authentication, pressing and grading since July 13 2019 ...

On May 7 2020 update via email:

"We are happy to notify you that your CBCS submission 19-26F632A has been received by the CBCS Receiving Department and is now being held in our safe, waiting to enter the grading process."

I was hoping it would be graded fairly quickly, but as of this AM it is still listed as "processing".

Be sure you’re looking in the correct place for the most accurate status of your order.

Processing is an overall status that basically means the books are at CBCS and won’t change until the books have shipped (or preparing to ship). Each tier has a more specific order status that gives you a better idea of where the books are in the process

If the order is out of pressing and is in the queue for grading then you’re looking at maybe less than two weeks until the books are done and shipped
