This message was posted 23 DAYS AGO. Don't believe the hype! Almost SEVEN MONTHS waiting for this order. The six week claim on that yellow banner is for modern books that require no pressing; straight from the box into slabbing. Anything else tacks on half a year or more to your TAT unless you pay for Fast Pass.

My small-ish submission (7 comics) that I submitted at Dallas Fan Expo (5/4), logged into CBCS system (5/10), received shipping e-mail today (5/31). Four weeks from the date I actually handed the comics to CBCS. Expect them to be delivered to me early next week.

The 6 week TAT posted on the banner is the estimated TAT for books being submitted now (without pressing) not on books submitted 7 months ago.

This has got to be the most ridiculous answer I have ever heard. I don't know anything about you @timbildhauser, I'm sure you're a great guy and all-around great human being but you should not be answering any messages from customers without first attending some type of customer service training because I don't think that if you were in the same situation as the customer that you are addressing is in right now, you would not accept the answer that you are giving him. I made this statement in another threat regarding this very incident. I said the right thing to do for this customer is find his book and move him to the front of the line. that's what I would consider customer service. I know you folks can help customers in this situation and maybe your care more than it looks like your care but, it sure doesn't look like you care at all.

I would say if you have been waiting for over 3 months for your books then something must be wrong🤔! But there are other options than ranting on the forums! That will get you know where but booted off. So let’s keep our cool people and act like adults and find a way to fix the situation not make it worse! CBCS I believe offers some insurance that’s why you list the value of the book when submitted so Incase something happens you get your money back for the value of the book. If this has happened maybe those who are missing stuff should file some kind of claim with there invoice attached so you can be reimbursed Don’t attack me I’m just trying to help find logical solutions

@virgincollector, I agree. I really am not trying to be hostile but from what i've read there are some people that are not being treated with the respect that you, as a customer, would expect. Like a straight answer and in some case any answer. there a several instances where people have called and left messages and emailed and not received an answer. that to me shows a lack of respect towards the customer. Anyway, i can't help but empathize with the customer who has been waiting for his books for over six months, which to me seems completely unreasonable. But i do respect where you're coming from.

I do agree that 6 months is very disconcerting for sure, and some times the admins on here can be very direct with there statements that’s why I understand your anger. I do not believe Tim was trying to be disrespectful but I believe his answer came from confusion of the situation. I do know that there New call center is in India and yes they don’t know shit about anything really other than to tell you to email cbcs which does actually go to CBCS not some other country like the call center. I also know CBCS was doing a lot of updating and revamping of there system and business as well as expanding at the same time of your issue! Now this is no excuse obviously but mistakes do happen and books do get lost in process and or damaged! Trust me you won’t be the first or last that this will happen to. I k ow it’s not the answer you were hoping for and it is super shitty but if I were you I would be digging out that invoice and filling a claim to at least get your money worth of your comics and your submission money back so you can try to replace what’s misssing, and if they try to offer submission credit then say no you want your money back, they have to give it back, and if that dosnt work you always have the option of reporting them to the better business bureau! But at the same time keep in mind while the method to there madness makes no sense to us it does work %98 of the time. I would say %100 percent of time but like I said mistakes happen even CGC makes mistakes, I have the slabs to prove it LOL. But In this case of over 6months you need to definitely be filling a claim at this point it’s the only thing really left you can do especially if customer service is putting you on the back end but I think it’s just frustration cause you don’t like there answer only thing is no matter how mad you get at them or anyone else it won’t change they fucked up you know😉. Sorry everything I say I say in a nice way not to be mean promise

My books submitted on March 25 have gone from processing to billing. Turns out I owe them $30. Will they just charge me ? Or will they send me a email ?

A friend submitted six books on my behalf in person at Lost Nation Comic Con (Ohio) yesterday. All six will be getting pressed and four of the six have signatures, some witnessed sigs and two require verification.

Many of you are much more regular submitters than I am. I know it's a guess - but what might I really be looking at for turnaround time? I figure if they're back by Labor Day or Halloween at the latest, I'll be OK.

Thoughts?

@Paint_Monk I submitted two signed books for pressing at AwesomeCon at the end of April. I called CBCS a few weeks later and was told to expect back around September

That's sort of what I was hoping - 5 months or less...

Thanks for the reply!

The turn around time is not 6 weeks at all. It’s closer to 8-9. Just got off the phone and the guy was extremely rude and said that no it’s not correct but they don’t care.

Pressing TAT is at 8-9 weeks. Grading TAT is, in fact, at 6 weeks.

Appreciate all the info you ladies and gentlemen post. This is my first time using CBCS. Have 10 books, that were marked received on April 1st. (1) 2 day modern, (2) consumer, and (7) modern, with 2 needing VSP. They have been in grading for about 5 weeks, and in labels on invoice for about 4 weeks. Which of these are the more accurate? And is this about the usual amount of time for a mixed order like this? Thanks, for your responses in advance.

Then shouldn't books that were submitted 7 months or more, or prior to let's say 12 weeks ago, be further along in the queue and be done grading?

The only orders in-house from that far back should be ones that were sent for pressing.

Keep in mind that once they get to Dallas from the pressing office you still have to add the current grading TAT to it.

I can vary a little bit but if they're in Labels you should be seeing the shipping email notification before long.

I submitted books at the Calgary fan expo to CBCS almost 6 weeks ago now. Since then I have received a new credit card so I called to update my billing info on that order and they say they haven't even received my books yet!!!! Should I be worried? I know coming from Canada they are shipped to Toronto before getting re shipped to Dallas but it's been almost 6 weeks is this normal? On there website it says 8 week Max turnaround for Canada I am assuming that gives them a two week Grace in shipping over the 6 weeks. I am a little concerned, anyone else have a similar issue?

Just got my shipping notification from a April 15th order of 18 books. Some grades were higher than I expected...others lower.
What I think might be a good idea is to have grader numbers. You know like when you buy a new pack of underwear and you have that tag that say "Inspected by 24".
Anyone else like that idea?
