| Apparently eBay is now collecting sales tax for items whose final destination is Connecticut as of April 1st. (Minnesota, Washington and Iowa started earlier this year). Just bought an item for the first time since this took effect. Sucks. You’re next, New Jersey (May 1st). |

| That does suck, especially for larger purchases. Makes selling on forums like this a little more attractive... | ||

| yeah, and I was getting ready to make a large purchase too. I finally saved up for one of my grails....Totally deflating, and Definitley puts me at a disadvantage going into future auctions now with my bid prices as now I have to consider my bids are really 6.35% higher than what I’m entering... They even tax the shipping! So you can’t ask someone to ratchet up the shipping costs to save on the tax... |

| Yeah, I got hit hard on with tax on a comiclink auction a couple months ago. Added quite a bit to my final price. What I thought was going to be some good deals, turns out basically paying the going rate for all the comics in the auction. | ||

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for.

| After getting whacked for about $150 in NJ sales tax in a recent Comic Connect auction I filed my paperwork to become a NJ reseller. Now I collect sales tax on my sales to NJ. I have until April 20th to file my Q1 sales tax return. |

| I don't have many in-state sales so I filed to only pay sales tax annually... we can do that in Florida.. much easier.. | ||
