Its nice to flip through your comics and find out that a comic that is in your collection was previously signed! I just found this copy of Iron Man 161 and looking through it the title page is signed by the writer Denny O'Neil. Show of the books that you have found signed within your collection that you didn't know you had!

As someone who frequently scours the 50 cent and dollar boxes at cons, I can tell you that this happens more than you may think. Here’s a couple of examples that come immediately to mind:

I found this John Byrne signed comic in a dollar box at last years Motor City Con.

I found this Dick Giordano signed comic in a 50 cent box a few years back:

Several years ago I bought a Superman #423 that had a Perez Sig on the splash, and a Plop #1 with an Aragones sketch and Sig on the splash- Both were in Flying Donut's $3 sale at the CGC forum. Another was an Edgar Rice Burroughs fanzine with a Dave Stevens Sig

It was a one trick pony show but always hilarious. GAC private msg quote post Address this user
I purchased this book raw and it was a total fluke that there was a sig inside...never disclosed by the seller (quite possible he didn't even know)...sent to CBCS for verification.

I was selling some comics when we came across this. I had totally forgotten I had it signed. Lucky me, it's an early Dragotta before he started signing in cursive and he even drew picture. I'll be selling it tomorrow.

famous first edition, has an exterior cover. Got the book in 1982-83, never knew it was signed until 2-3 years ago. Got these bob kane sketch's in the same collection. Had them in a box that I totally forgot about. Re discovered them at the same time as the shuster signature

I found a Shi #5 in a dollar bin signed by Palimotti and knew it was his auto, because I had others. I also knew Tucci was coming to the upcoming ABQ con, so I figured it would be nice to get a sign from him on the book and possibly a sketch.

When I asked if he could verify that it was Palimotti's ink, he states to me.... "Just ask him yourself, he is right there"...pointing to the booth next to his!!

Sure enough....Palimotti pops out from behind some boxes....it was he, and he indeed verified the signature to be his.

Fun day.

I have anther thread on this - bought Demon 1 back ~1980 and found a Jack Kirby signature at the bottom of page 1. I imagine it's legit given that I wouldn't expect someone to be making fake copies back then

I got back a couple of surprise signed books. This one didn't grade out that well but I wasn't really concerned about that.

This one couldn't be verified unfortunately. I had a guess on who it was but could have been wrong. Anyone recognize it? The book is Uncanny X-Men 282, first Bishop.
