I dont know.....comics are super hot right now....he's sculpting a generic superhero using comics that are obviously old....wouldn't you do a quick internet search on the #1s atleast...just to see if theres some value?

He's an artist - probably living off the grid due to artistic temperment or financial (the only ones who make $$ in the art world are the supply stores!!)

Bet stuff like this happens all the time. I remember seeing an episode of cribs where the guy had what would be now almost 500k in comics as wall paper in his bathroom. Lol

Remember that copy of Action Comics #1, found in a house a couple years ago? It was used - decades ago - as insulation. It was actually quite well preserved, considering. It was graded at 1.5, but it might've received a 3.0 or so before the back cover was ripped "in an exchange between Gonzalez [the homeowner] and his wife's aunt."
