Hey Gang,
I am flying out to Vegas today. I have all day tomorrow free before my work duties start. I am staying 8 miles away from Torpedo Comics and plan to Uber my way over there. Any other suggestions or comic books shows going on tomorrow? I actually was able to fit my comic book carry box into my carry on bag. I am hoping to fill it with some books.

Can you show us your comic book carry box? I'm curious to see it to see if I purchase one for myself!

Thank you for asking that question, I am looking to go to my first show this year as well and was curious what people do with their books at the shows.

Here is the comic book holder that I brought with me in the carry on bag. I had it filled with my phone charger, and other misc items. By tomorrow, I plan to have it filled with comic books.
On another note. If you are a big guy and need to fly, go with Spirit's big front seat for a small extra cost. I had seat 1D and it was nice. You are right near the exit and the bathrooms and first to be offered drinks etc.

Here is my feet with legs all the way out. The exit is to the left and the cock pit straight ahead. The guy to my right was a tiny guy. I asked him why he would need the extra size seat. He said he even likes the extra room. He was able to cross his legs and then he was doing these leg exercises like he was on a leg extension exercise machine. Lol.

You should like Torpedo Comics. They have some cool stuff but, you will pay top dollar. (I live in Vegas)

Thanks, I am looking forward to it. How about Celestial and Cactus? I see that Celestial is kind of in the direction of Torpedo and Cactus is the other way from where I am staying.

Honestly, I haven't been to either one of those. I get all of my new books from Maximum Comics. They have 4 locations around Vegas and Henderson.

Torpedo has the best and largest, that I know of for slabbed books. They have a cool little vault you can walk into to check out their really valuable books. It's worth a look.

I saw them on the internet but it looked like it was advertised like a wharehouse not a LCS. I will have to look closer at that.

I made it to Torpedo Comics today. A little surprise when I got there. Bill Sienkiewicz was there signing and selling prints and some original art. Unfortunately it was a vip signing and only like 15 people getting things signed. The signing was open to the public later but I would have had to wait a couple hours or more until after a lunch break. And of course I did not have any of his books and took an Uber to get there. At least I saw him and took a photo. Of course John Dolmayan was over seeing the event and he seems pretty cool. @OGJackster You were right. The books are a bit pricey however they had an awesome selection. I picked up a couple Torpedo exclusives that I have been wanting. I was able to go through several copies to pick out the nicest copies.

@OGJackster Where is Torpedo located? My in-laws live in Henderson and I get out there once or twice a year. I'll have to check them out next time I'm in town.

For me it was 8 miles nortwest of South Point Hotel where I am staying. The Uber drive there was under $8 and I did not have to wait but a couple minutes for both there and back.

@BrianGreensnips @OGJackster Thanks! I know right where South Point is. I'll have to check it out next time I go for a visit.

Well, I made it back safely and my books did too. This box will definitely work if you have to travel with comics. I bought some $1 True believers and put them on both sides of the 2 Batman who laughs books and placed them in the plastic bag from the store. Then I slid the entire bag into the box. The books still look perfect.
